How to Find an Oklahoma Web Design Company

By Brett Keith

Are you thinking it's time to redesign your current website, or build a new one, and looking for an Oklahoma based web design business? Well, you should know you have more options in front of you than you might realize. The purpose of this article is to show you at least 10 different way to locate just the right Oklahoma designer for your current project.

First thing you want to do is Google it! Most people consider this the best possible way to find the right designer for whatever your website needs may be. The results of a Google search will bring up all the Oklahoma web designers on the net, showing listing for both local and national companies. If you'd prefer to work with a local service, check out the companies that have Oklahoma addresses and the areas codes (i.e. 405, 918,or 580) that apply to your immediate area. If you are unsure of the company's location being near your area or national, just make contact through their website and and find out.

Browse the phone book. The Feist Yellow Book and AT&T Yellow Pages have sections specifically for web design companies. This is a good option to browse through if Google doesn't give you any solid results.

Talk to your friends - if they have already had websites created, they would be able to make excellent referrals to you on which companies they had checked and refer you to an Oklahoma design business with quality service.

Next, be sure to check with your local Chamber of Commerce, The Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, and the other nearby chambers for their member directories. You will find, quite often, there are listing for web development in these directories. You have the option of checking their websites, or calling them directly, to see if they might work out for your project.

Consider using an online freelance exchange site such as eLance, Guru, or Odesk to post a web design job description and specify in what geographic areas of Oklahoma (i.e. Tulsa, Edmond, Norman, Oklahoma City) you are looking for a designer to work with.

Don't forget to ask other business owners,(such as your banker, your CPA, or your lawyer)as they may have a list of the special services people, or contractors, they are willing to share with you. If they don't have any referrals on web designers, they might send you to other business owners who can recommend someone to you.

Look for local websites. Find a website for a local business that you like, and then scroll down to the bottom of the home page, where yo'll see who designed the website. Occasionally, web design businesses will leave their name somewhere on the site so that their good work can lead to future clients.

Be sure to look for the search feature and enter "Internet Web Design" companies to see who is listed on the Oklahoma Better Business Bureau website, as well.

Search for website that review web designers. Many of the directories you'll find online will give you a list of designers, organized by feedback left by their customers.

Look at INeedThis.com. The Oklahoman and KWTV created IneedThis together, and have included a section to address webpage design.
