Take Your Company Public: Take Your Start-up Public

By James Scott

Are you trying to raise capital for your business? Have you been turned down by institutional lenders for loans and corporate lines of credit? Why deal with the hassle and embarrassment of perpetual declines and risk losing your business because of lack of cash? Wouldn't it be great to raise capital quickly and easily for your company without constantly having to fill out scores of credit applications to stay afloat?

The important thing to realize is that if you are a small or medium size business and even if you are a start-up you can take your company public on OTCBB. When going public you really have two viable options: first, most people consider the IPO, but very few qualify because of the necessity of massive amounts of capital in reserve, SOX 404, extensive time in business and finding a broker dealer to take you through the process; the second option is taking your company public OTCBB (over the counter bulletin boards), this process is inexpensive, lightning fast, minimal qualifications and offers start-ups and small/medium size business the ability to raise gargantuan amounts of capital from investors worldwide.

There is no other way to go public on a legitimate platform. With Pink Sheets and Reverse Mergers you'll only get burned so buyer beware! Are you short on cash? A popular mechanism for raising the initial capital to go public via OTCBB is by using a Private Placement Memorandum (Regulation D Rule 504) with a built in mini/maxi.

Right when you hit that minimum you can start using capital to grow your company while simultaneously initiating the 'going public' process.

The moral of this story...even if you're a startup or small business owner you can raise capital by going public! Get informed and get funded.

Effective Brochure Design Tips For Those New In Business

By Susan Wong

Have you ever thought that a leaflet can be one of the most potent of all your marketing materials?

It is a simple piece of paper but the initial impact that your booklet makes is profound. If it's shabby and unappealing your prospect is left with the same feeling. This will weaken your business development.

Having a leaflet professionally designed and published is a key to success in a jam-packed marketplace. Taking the time to make sure that your leaflet presents all the key information in a way that is easily understood is something that only a professional can do.

If you are just getting started in business you may be tempted to do your booklet yourself. When I first started in business I did everything myself - not a excellent choice. That is why it took me 12 years before I was even comparatively prosperous. Heed my warning - go professional from day one on your marketing materials. They are an investment and not an expense. Professionally designed materials will deliver you customers and the cash flow to follow - the reason why you are in business.

A brochure has to use eye-catching design. It has to be brief in terms of the content and last but not the least, it must be successful in tempting people to make that call of action.

Here are three key design principles to follow when creating a booklet. Use them and you will see your results flow.

1. The cover:

The cover is your salesperson. Brochures are quite inactive creatures and you are not often able to 'walk' people through your pamphlet. So you need to excite people to read further. The cover is the beginning point so must be tantalizing and sharing the KEY values of WHY someone should read further. It should answer the WIFM question - What's in it for me.

A good design company will show you at least three to four cover designs for your leaflet. Examine these designs to see which energizes you the most. Ask your friends their opinion. Does the cover answer the question WIFM? If it doesn't energize and answer the WIFM question, then skip to another design that works or get it redesigned. Taking the time here to get it right will pay premiums later.

2. The Content:

Once they are past the cover then the message has to become the sales rep. So once again, the pressure is on to be good. Do not opt for cheap ineffectual content writers or ask the designer to write the content or worst still do it yourself. Instead make sure that a professional copywriter is doing the work. If your design company does not have a copywriter then employ one yourself.

Ensure that all the fundamental questions that a likely client will have about your product are answered in a way that gets them to call you for more information. Do not go into 'overkill mode' and flood them with too much data at this point in time. Remember the brochure's job is to energize and get people to call you.

3. The call for action:

If your prospective customer has read the booklet then you have done a good job. All you need to do now is give them a compelling reason to contact you NOW.

Having things like a free call 0800 or'00 number clearly shown (in big letters) can make a important difference. Having an email address is a clear bonus. Make sure these two are clearly placed in large clear type.

Even give your customers a special voucher on the booklet or reference code can help. But above all, make sure that you add a clear call to action. One way to do this is to readdress the KEY value of your service to your prospect in a way that will get them to take action. Remember value is everything. People only buy something that is of value to THEM.

4. The part that got missed:

I did this on purpose and only said there were 3 points. Well the final point is the one that can get omitted. It is the 'dummy' one. Have you checked that you have these on your pamphlet:

Phone number | Fax number | Email address | Web address | Country of operation | City / area of operation | Company name | And have you proof read for typo and grammar errors?

Key Design Considerations For Creating A Catalog With Advanced Graphics

By Sarah Smith

A catalog with appealing graphic design is like a portable salesman, every bit as effective as a real one. By using a catalog, a consumer can decide which product to purchase after discussing his chosen product with relatives and friends. Thus, it is very important that a catalog is arranged and printed in the most effective and appealing way to get a favourable response from the customers.

A catalog should not allow features like design and colour to outshine the description of products. Thus without any negligence, you must first focus on the colour scheme and layout of the main graphic elements so that the product photos in the catalog do not look insipid to the customer. Any modern graphic design software can display you how the different variants will appear, and by making use of the colour selection tools, you can comfortably decide on a palette that works for you.

Next you have to work upon the arrangement and placing of words on the catalog. Again, by making use of graphics tools, you can work upon a few options with different fonts and colours to see what suits and what does not look good. The text must contain description in which a brief powerful summary of the products is given, with all their key aspects presented in minimum number of words.

After the basic image and text elements are finalized, one must concentrate on selectively adding attractive imagery to the catalog. Graphic design that is modern and smart makes the catalog visually appealing to consumers and rouses their curiosity about the products displayed. Engaging a professional designer for such graphic designs is a great idea, though you can manage the task yourself if you have the needed talent and creativity.

Pre-designed graphic components can be found in modern graphic design software that can be utilized to successfully design your catalog without much trouble. This will make sure that you get high quality designs without having to work much on them.

Once the aforesaid steps are taken care of, you would need a good printing company to print the required amount of copies of the catalog for distribution to customers. You can let a designer from the printing company suggest some final modifications on the catalog that you have created, as an expert's advice always helps to enhance the results. Moreover, he can also let you know if the design would come out as good as it appears on a computer screen.

Take Your Company Public Cheap! Less Than $15,000

By James Scott

OK, you're ready to take your company to the next level and your CFO and legal counsel have advised you to go public to raise capital as well as to retain some of those prize employees with stock options and to bait that new sales executive with a signing bonus made up of stock options. You've looked into everything from pink sheets to reverse mergers to OTCBB to IPO and you have come to the conclusion you're going to need to take on investors so that you can afford to follow through with your plan. If you're lacking the funds to dive right in and start creating your public structure, here is a way that just about any business can afford to go public.

First, get a real business plan. Your business plan needs to sizzle and reel in the investor and clearly paint a picture of your vision to the investor and their advisors. Next, you'll want to raise an initial round of cash quickly so that you can afford to take your company public without hindering your current company structure with additional ancillary costs. You're going to need something fast and affective; you should consider having a professionally authored private placement memorandum put together for your company.

If you are trying to go public via OTCBB a Regulation D Rule 504 exemption will suffice, if you are trying to achieve an IPO you'll need to go with a Regulation D Rule 505 exemption (pink sheets and reverse mergers into shell corps are not very successful in immediate and long term success so I would suggest you stay away from these structures). Build into the PPM verbiage that you are raising an initial round of capital that will be used to take your company public. When savvy investors see that they are investing in a real, viable pre-IPO or pre-OTCBB formation you will see investors climbing out of the woodwork to give you cash if your business concept is sound.

Next you hire the consultants (usually the same firm that wrote your PPM) to start the process of taking you public. On the PPM your Mini/Maxi should allow you to use capital almost immediately to get the ball rolling on your public company. You can count on a solid OTCBB going for between $75k and $250k and an IPO going for $1M+ so have your PPM written accordingly. If you follow the path set forth above you will notice something extraordinary.

The only out of pocket expense you had was for your Private Placement Memorandum (and your business plan if you didn't have one) and 100% of the capital needed to go public was supplied by greedy investors who are excited to invest because of the quick payoff of their investment when you go public. This process means you can literally take your company public for less than $5,000 (the typical cost of a strategic Private Placement Memorandum. This is a simple, strategic and inexpensive way to get the capital you need for your company quickly, without using your limited financial resources in the process.

Arizona Web Design Will Take Your Site To The Next Level

By Gerald McConway

Every time you turn around it seems as though someone else is opening up an Internet business. With so many different businesses to compete with, having the right Arizona web designer can make all the difference. Not only does their skill as a web designer go a long way in getting you noticed, but much of the success of the design revolves around the platform that they use to design your site.

To be perfectly honest, using any other platform besides WordPress is a waste of money. WordPress websites get indexed quicker than any other type of platform and also dominate page one of Google. Knowing this, why would you choose any other designer or platform for your website?

If you go back a couple of years, the biggest sensation for Internet design was Flash. While it's hard to argue the fact that Flash adds some pizazz to a website, few people are aware that Flash is virtually unreadable to the search engines. While the website may look great, it is just one of the millions that will end up being lost on the web.

The only way to have a glitzy website that search engines will see is to use WordPress and the various plug-ins that they have available. The difference between the two is that you can still have programming that is virtually the same things as Flash, except that it is still visible to the search engines. This feature alone can make a huge difference as every aspect of your website is getting picked up.

The only proof that is needed is to do a Google search. When you look at the sites that are on page one of Google, for the most part, they are all WordPress websites and WordPress blogs. It is no accident that WordPress sites absolutely dominate page one of Google. The moment these websites started to hit the web, Dreamweaver sites were kicked right out of positions that they have held for years.

The success of your Internet business is too important to trust anything but the best. In web design this means having your site created on the WordPress platform. Choosing any other platform is a pure waste of money and all you are doing is signing a death warrant for your Internet business. Make a smart decision and use an Arizona Web designer that specializes in the WordPress platform.

Cheaponsale.com Reports Monopolistic Market Blamed For Gas Pains In China

By Tian Li

Energy analysts have blamed the country's "monopolistic natural gas market" for one of the most serious gas shortages in decades, made worse by high gas consumption amid freezing temperatures and snowstorms in the south.

"The lack of a competitive mechanism in China's gas market has given major gas suppliers few incentives to expand gas output at current low prices," Lin Boqiang, professor at the Center of China Energy Economics Research in Xiamen University, told China Daily Monday.

The gas crisis has raised public doubts about the country's monopolistic gas market and the capacity of PetroChina and Sinopec, the country's main gas suppliers, which issued emergency gas in several provinces and regions including Chongqing municipality and Zhejiang province due to the sudden increased consumption and limited storage. "In order to meet the surging gas demand, we should open our gas market and welcome more domestic and foreign companies to create a competitive mechanism, which will trigger an exploration of the potential gas capacity," Lin said.

Gas production reached 77.5 billion cu m last year, a year-on-year increase of 15 percent. Some experts predicted that China will consume 400 billion cu m in 2030 with nearly 40 percent imported from abroad, Jia Chengzao, director of the CNPC Petroleum Institute, said at an energy forum in July this year.

"Apparently, the current gas supply cannot meet the surging demand and our gas market must bring in fresh elements," Lin said. Raising natural gas prices is the first step and then the gas market will open further, he said. But Cao Changqing, head of the price department of the National Development and Reform Commission, the country's top economic planner, said on Thursday that China will not adjust the price of natural gas or issue a major price reform plan anytime soon.

Some netizens think the oil giants are curtailing the market supply to obtain a higher price, but both companies denied that and said they are at full capacity. Cities in the central and southern parts of the country are still facing severe gas shortages after being hit by a cold snap and heavy snow. Zhengzhou Gas Group said the city is facing a shortage of 50 million cu m of natural gas this year. Yesterday, the company suspended natural gas supply to taxis at five of the city's nine gas stations.

Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province and a city in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, cut natural gas supply to all industries and businesses to ensure residential consumption last week after one of its worst snowstorms in the past four decades, facing a shortage of about 1 million cu m of gas every day.

The unusually early snowstorm in the country this winter has resulted in a surge in gas consumption for heating, diverting supplies and affecting public transport and industries. In Chongqing, local media reported that taxis are forming long lines for compressed natural gas. The gas squeeze is also affecting industries in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, with dozens of plants forced to shut down last week.

More than 30 gas-consuming companies were affected with 17 of them having their supply cut off, Zhejiang Daily reported last week. This year's gas supply to Hangzhou is 310 million cu m, while the city has already consumed nearly 319 cu m, the local government said. Gas supply in downtown Hangzhou was back to normal with the temperature rising to-- C on Sunday.

The Beginnings Of Architecture

By Benny Lars

When you are on the web, you usually do a whole bunch of things. Some of these include submitting forms, doing searches and clicking on links. You may not realize it but all of these activities involve use of resources that are usually contained in a web server. Even a simple retrieving of a home page requires that the web browser that you are using request it from a web browser.

Generally, these types of requests where a web browser requests for a resource and the web server responds with it is called a two-tier architecture. This is a simple request-response action since there is no sophisticated storage software involved. However, there comes a time when complicated operations that involve dynamic data will be undertaken. In such cases, a separate database to handle these requests will be used.

When a web browser requests a resource and the server response is generated from a database, such an architecture is called a three-tier architecture. Whenever access database requests are made, the web browser must first communicate with the server which in turn, communicates with the database management system that retrieves the requested data. The database management system is used to manage all the data that is created, modified, queried or deleted by users.

Whenever you access database information, you will need to have your web server process your requests that are implemented using scripts. This organization allows access database requests from thousands of users to be done simultaneously. For efficiency, many websites implement the web server and the database server on separate machines. In more advanced and high-end applications the load is further distributed by use of many machines.

The web today allows the use of the HTTP protocol to access database information. HTTP is conceptually simple. A request made in HTTP receives a response from the web server. The response is usually a HTML document, an image or a program output that is sent back to the web browser. When you access database servers, you will usually be either requesting from entry information that is cataloged or you will be making changes to the entries themselves. Despite their seemingly complex nature, database management systems offer users application interfaces to do that. It is usually not necessary to make internal configurations to the database server. In most cases, this will be done right on the web browser. So when you access database information the next time you are on the web, you may likely be doing that via a number of machines. Quite amazing, is it not?

Take Your Company Public: Small Businesses Can Go Public Too

By James Scott

Banks and hedge funds have dried up. Scams like shelf corporations and platform based funding are on the rise so where can an entrepreneur turn to raise capital? It's sad to be faced with the reality that legitimate fund raising methods have fallen into a minority position in today's depressed economy.

Company owners still need expansion capital, start-up companies need seed capital, how can the owners of these companies bypass the learning curve set in place by the online scammers and find the legitimate ways of raising capital? There are two solid ways of raising capital that are supported by the SEC and can have you raising capital without the drawbacks of dealing with people that just want to take your money and run, Private Placement Memorandums and OTCBB.

First, Private Placement Memorandums allow the business to raise capital under the umbrella of three Regulation D rule exemptions: 504, 505 and 506. Also referred to as a PPM or Offering Memorandum, a Private Placement Memorandum allows you to raise capital, legitimately with an SEC supported and approve process that uses the laws pivoting off of the'33 Securities Act that helps entrepreneurs raise capital legitimately and safely. All are protected with a well written PPM.

If you're looking to raise capital in more of a 'public' setting, check out the almighty OTCBB (over the counter bulletin boards), be careful on this one, there are several consultants and broker dealers that will take your money and walk away while you stand there with an entity that is, umwell, worthless. For an otcbb to be successful you need the back end support and ongoing consulting assistance of people that are completely submerged in the industry and know their way around so they can guide you around the trouble makers and into a world of massive corporate growth and funding nirvana.

If you are looking for real, honest, fast acting funding solutions the private placement memorandum and the OTCBB are your safest bet. Steer clear from the bogus formations such as shelf corps and platform and leased instrument based funding, they will only result in losing time and hard earned cash for your company.

Many start-up businesses have a hard time when it comes to issues of gathering payments after sales are made. Affiliate marketers are not cumbered by this since their affiliate merchants do all the collecting from the customers.

In affiliate marketing each marketer runs an affiliate internet site by the merchant on whose behalf the selling is being done. These sites are separately logged into such that all transactions which are made at that place are assigned to the affiliate marketer. There is no way that you can be denied of your dues.

Affiliate marketing is all about selling - period. As a marketer you are not worried about inventories and inventorying and other elaborations of orthodox businesses like delivery and shipping. Your task is just to sell the product and the merchant then takes on responsibility for getting the bought item to the buyer.

The reach of affiliate marketing is most awe-inspiring. You are able to virtually sell products to any location on earth provided there is an internet connection. Unlike traditional businesses where the customer base is limited to a urban center or a country affiliate marketing means that the sales effort is global. With affiliate marketing you do not need to worry with trade limitations that govern different countries. Many products particularly the informational type only require that the customer has an internet connection and a computer for downloading purposes.

One advantage that also jumps out prominently has to do with the Internet itself. The internet is accessible twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and by extension your affiliate marketing internet site also is. Irrespective of where you are and regardless the time you will be able to always anticipate that someone somewhere can bring you business.

Web Designers: How to Choose Which Projects to Accept

By Steven Snell

Many web designers struggle with knowing which clients and projects to accept, and which ones they should pass up. Unfortunately, with the amount of competition that exists for web designers, a high percentage of freelancers and small design studios feel the need to jump on every opportunity that comes their way.

Accepting every project is not a good idea for a number of reasons. Many potential clients, especially in today's economic situation, will be looking for something very cheap which may not give the designer enough time to do their best job. Of course, there are other reasons as well.

Here we will take a detailed look at several of the most significant factors that you should always think about when you are deciding on a project or a client. When work comes your way, remember these factors and use them to help as you decide if it is something you should pursue.

1. Income

This is one that very few designers will forget, but it needs to be mentioned. Of course, the amount of money that you will make on a project should be one of the factors that weighs in your decision. You're sure to run in to a lot of potential clients who want the world on a very limited budget.

The price that you need to charge for a project will be directly tied to the amount of time and effort that it will require from you, and that will directly relate to the specifics of what the clients want. If you find that a project will take you much longer than can be justified by the client's budget, either pass on the job or present them with an option to compromise on some of the things they want.

2. Timeframe

Most projects will come with some sort of deadline. It may be strict or there may be some flexibility involved. Either way, the client will have certain expectations, and you will need to do your best to give them a quality experience working with you.

If a client has a time line that simply isn't possible for you, let them know that it isn't going to work. Tell them when you think you would be able to get it done and see if they can accept this deadline. Otherwise, you could increase your pricing for the rush job, or walk away.

3. Fit

Most likely there are some specific areas of design and development that are your strong points, and others where you could improve. Taking jobs that are challenging and teach new skills are good to have in your schedule, but most of your work should be a good fit with your own strengths.

4. Personal Preferences

Not only will you have some areas of design where you are strong and some where you are weaker, but you'll also find that some types of work you enjoy more than others. It's a good idea to make an effort to find more work that matches up with your interests so that you can enjoy your work more fully.

5. Workload

Just like pricing is important, you should also put a lot of emphasis on your current workload. If you are already as busy as you can handle, don't take new projects or at least schedule them to be stated at some point in the future.

One common practice is to speak with the client about their project, see what their time frame is, and agree on a tentative date for starting in the future when your workload will be manageable.

Tips For Choosing a Domain Name

By Alison Rothwell

Deciding on a web site address means more than just adding a.com to your company name. Don't forget it's a key element of your website optimization. For starters that domain name may already be in use. If you're set on this choice then there are some ways you can attempt to find an owner of a domain name, and then make an offer to buy it from them. This is especially worthwhile if there is no actual website attached, and owners may be more willing to part with the domain for a lower cost.

There are alternatives including what extension is selected, or how you phrase your name - some use dashes to get around it. But you need to ensure your site is easily located and unnecessary information in the domain name can confuse customers and leave your site lost amongst the masses. This won't help your website seo.

It's also important to name each page properly in the URL. This is so that search engines can more easily direct searching potential customers to the relevant page of your website. While taking into account your tags, meta tags and other ways you've improved your search status, they will also check the domain name and full URL for extra clues.

Look at the way some of the biggest online companies have designed their URLs for different pages, and follow suit. You can also investigate ways to make sure your main domain name is easy to read, remember and find. By doing this you'll make your site more visible than may otherwise be the case. It also means people can understand your system quite easily and then type in the right extended URL to get to specific pages without heading via the homepage.

Keys to Effective Photo Shop Training

By James McAlister

Have you ever considered using Photo Shop? If so, then you understand that in order to know how to use it, you have to undergo Photo Shop training. You can usually find training available in the form of an online guide or training manual. If you've already attempted to read some of the guides available, then you also know how complicated it can be.

People who are given poor instructions will always fail to understand because the instructions are not made for beginners. Everyone has to start somewhere, right? Most people who are planning on using the Photo Shop software are beginners, and it wouldn't be fair if they didn't have a chance to learn and understand the same things as those who do.

Once you receive training that you can understand, you can do endless things in relation to editing your current photos, websites, and anything else that requires computerized artistic skill. What makes it so frustrating is that Photo Shop training isn't that difficult to learn, yet so many of the techies creating the courses make the program difficult to understand. Some of the things you will learn once you are able to get your hands on a really good Photo shop tutorial include how to reduce red-eye, add graphics to your photos, resize your images, create 3D effects, enhance and decrease color, blend colors, and a lot more.

The good news is that with the right Photo Shop training guide, you can learn all of that and a lot more. Most of the other Photo Shop tutorial programs just focus on teaching the bare essentials. While that's nice and all, it's still not enough. Everyone knows that what makes the Photo Shop program so exciting is that it not only allows you to work with the basics, but also the more spectacular and fascinating aspects of graphic design, photo editing, and creation. No one expects to become completely mind-boggled when reading a Photo Shop training guide. What they expect is to actually read it and understand it. But unfortunately, what usually happens is that the person attempts to read it, gets halfway through the manual, and then gives up and decides that the program isn't for them.

All of these things may seem extremely difficult at this point, and they can be. But when you are provided Photo Shop training that is made to be understood, things aren't so bad anymore. What do you think an ideal Photo Shop tutorial should include? Just information on how to partially operate the software, or information containing simple steps on the entire program that even someone in grade-school can understand? I'll bet on the latter.

Rest assured that you will find the Photo Shop training guide that you seek. No matter how many times you've failed thus far, there is still hope. Just remember that Photo Shop isn't a hard program to learn, and shouldn't be. Keep in mind that the only difficult part lies in the instruction. But if you can find an easy training guide, learning will be easy as pie.

What You Should Know About Website Repair

By Frank Sanders

Website repair is a form of maintenance applied to existing websites. The work involves fixing malfunctions, code errors and updating the website. A website consists of the user interface, admin and databse. A website that does meet modern standards is likely to have many errors. Changes to images and content may also be needed.

Database driven websites require a lot of attention. Changes to the database are needed from time to time. Maintaining a database can take most of your time. A person with programming knowledge may find it easy. However, if you are not a programming professional, you must find a coder to do it for you. Yesteryear's websites require a lot of manual operations and maintenance. Modern websites are equipped with maintenance systems that can be used by a person. Even if you are not a programmer, you can use these tools. Content Management Systems (CMS) are designed to be used by people with no programming skills. Image and content updates can be made from the website admin. You can make changes without writing a single line of code. The easiest systems use the drag and drop functions for putting new elements or adjusting existing elements. Backing up is also a no-brainer. There are many ways of backing up website data.

Image resizing is a form of maintenance that is used for websites. Advanced websites have automated systems that can resize images without hassles and trouble of going to a photoshop. Traditional image resizing involves downloading images, fixing them on Photoshop and uploading them to the server.

Updating your website content cannot be over-emphasized. You need fresh content on a regular basis to attract visitors to your site. If the content on your website is stagnant, your website may as well be considered damaged. You can create your own content on a daily or weekly basis. If you do not have writing skills, you can hire a part-time writer to do the work for you. Use of SEO articles will drive your website up the rankings and many people will find your website on search engines.

A website that lags behind in technology will give errors when visitors attempt to browse through. Today's internet has an option of choosing between many browsers. Browsers are regularly updated. It is no surprise to weekly updates being made on browsers. If you have a website, are you managing to keep up with browser technology? Informed website owners will take into this account when designing a website. Even if you are loyal to one type of browser, you will need to make certain make certain changes when a new version has been released. Some websites are known to function on certain versions. They may function on old versions but not on current versions. Imagine the number of visitors you may lose by sticking to one browser.

If your website has an event calendar, the calendar requires updating on a regular basis. There are websites with inbuilt software that can update calendar events, just by changing the content from the CMS interface. Dates and events must be added to the website as soon as possible. Advance updates should be sent to visitors. Calendar event monitoring works best for websites owned by town councils, artists, performers, art galleries, charity organizations, clubs, concert organizers and government.

Images and slow internet connection are usually the cause of slow loading. Sometimes, you may realize that your internet connection is fast and your website does not contain a lot of images. The cause of slow loading in this case, may be poor coding in your website. Code optimization is a method of fixing your website code so that fast loading can be achieved.

Another reason for slow loading is traffic. Increase in traffic caused by many visitors visiting the same page at the same time, may slow down your website. You must have contingency measures for accommodating an increase in traffic.

The Understanding Of Technical Documentation

By Allen Wright

Defining what technical documentation is sets the stage for a mix of quality and comprehension. Technical documentation is an instructional process for the correct handling of a particular product, or as a provisional "how to" for most concepts. The documentation works with the persons strategic abilities in providing clarity on just about anything.

The competency of handling a product at the user-end relies on the skills of the technical writer. The series of events are cyclic in nature. The inventor provides information to the writer who then takes on the technical aspects of functionality and advises by documentation the procedure necessary for utilization.

Generally, by presumption if you invented something, you would be the best person to describe, and manipulate it. This factor does not necessarily hold true. Research has shown that inventors also presume that the product is self-explanatory in how it works. They are too close to the fundamentals, and if they were to attempt to provide documentation of an explanatory nature, there would be a lot of information that would be missing.

In orientation of the product, what is looked at is various ways in which it works and overall functionality. There would be clarification to afford to those who would provide the documentation the necessary information to do so. This would enable the integration of outside influences setting the stage for fundamental feedback.

It may seem a tall order for a person who did not invent a product to be responsible for shedding light on the overall concept and manipulation, and to be able to make the information user friendly in being easy to understand. It is not an easy feat by any means, and technical documentation writers go to school to learn these skills.

There are schools just for the enhancement and education of technical writers. They learn how to effectively take the information from the inventor and document it effectively to a wide audience in understanding the what, and why of a product. Their professional demeanor comes across in the finished manual.

Design plays a large part in developing manuals, and other documents. Imagery is an important tool in defining a concept in addition to the text associations. Working in the field and acquiring user feedback is an important factor in the growth of skill sets exhibited by a creator of technical documentation. Feedback in itself helps to advise the creator of how comprehensive the work is, or is not.

Feedback is vital to ensure that the writer has achieved effectively the "how to" as described in the instructions to the user. If the user is at a total loss after reading the instructions to figure out how to manipulate the product, the writer's job is not complete. The user will contact the company, who in turn will monitor the information received. Depending on how many contacts received in relation to a particular product will be the deciding factor that the documentation is not effective, and requires revision.

The understanding of technical documentation is what a technical writer provides. He uses training and skills to ensure that the information received is comprehensive and easy to understand, and relies on user feedback to confirm that he has achieved this goal.

5 Mistakes To Avoid When Choosing A Biz Domain Name

By Karen Sielski

Choosing a great biz domain name for your website is an important task. There are some common domain name mistakes that you need to consider when selecting a name. This process is essential, no matter how long it takes. It is difficult to change a domain name so get it right the first time.

Your biz domain name has many purposes. You want it to be congruent with your brand. You want a name that you can get to the top of the search engine results. And you want to generate maximum web traffic.

I personally like to brainstorm with a couple of people to get a long list of possible names. Then eliminate biz domain names that are already taken. GoDaddy can provide this information. Many of your best ideas will probably be taken, which is why this step can be difficult.

Now that you have your list of available biz domain names, eliminate names that contain these 5 common mistakes:

1. Names that are difficult to say or spell. You don't want any ambiguity when you tell someone your domain name. They should be able to spell it and remember it easily.

2. Not buying variations of your domain name. For example, you should register plural and hyphenated versions of your domain if it applies. Not doing this can cost you in the long run because your competitors will register these names and will legally steal some of your traffic! Domain names are really inexpensive so register as many of them as you need to.

3. Not choosing a domain that has the .com extension available. If the .com version of the domain name is already taken, keep looking and find another biz domain name. Don't settle for .info, associated with hackers and spammers, .net, .ws, etc.

4. Choosing a domain that doesn't contain your main key term. This gets into search engine optimization. Basically, you'll get a higher relevance score if your main key term is in your domain name. This is important because higher relevance means more natural traffic from the search engines.

5. Not registering your personal name. In addition to any business domain names that you buy, you should also make sure to get your own personal name and those of your kids. Use the form FirstLast.com. Even if you or your kids don't need this domain right away, you should get it now before someone else does. Domain names are going quickly!

Your biz domain name is a very important aspect of your online success. Avoiding these 5 domain name mistakes is well worth the time you will spend to choose the right name.

Blog Content is the Most Valuable

By Randy Roedl

After you've picked out your theme and have inserted the wordpress plug-ins you want to use then you need to begin composing content for your blog. With no articles there's no value to the viewers so make sure you add together a beneficent amount of posted articles to your blog in the beginning. Typically I will spend the first week writing three posted articles a day and submitting them to social bookmarking websites. This will allow you to have roughly twenty posted articles on your blog and all of them should be indexed from the social bookmarking.

Twenty posted articles is a good amount of content to start off with and after the first week you can begin writing only one post a day. This will give you more time to market and promote your blog to the masses of people out there looking for information. We'll talk more about this later in the guide as for right now I want to talk about the content you write.

Either you or a writer will be doing the content creation for your blog and you'll need to decide this on a few factors. You'll need to make sure you have time each day to write a blog post and you'll also need to have some writing capabilities. If you have neither then you might want to consider hiring a writer for your blog. Of course this costs money and takes away from money you could be making so if you can I would write your own blog posts. This way you can become more involved with your blog as well since you'll be writing the blog posts.

Don't expect just to throw up short meaningless written posts on your web blog and expect the traffic to start pouring in. You need to add valuable content to your web blog that isn't found elsewhere often. If you just regurgitate what everyone else talks about then you'll find it difficult to get readers since they read it elsewhere also.

You need to possess content that people can't find and is valuable to them. Your web blog written posts should be anywhere from 300-1000 words a piece depending on what you're going to talk about that day. Some topics will require more detailed written posts while others can remain short and to the point. Make sure you always offer some value in your written posts though. For instance you can offer many things in your written posts and you should focus on only one per post. You can write about news for the day, an educational topic or an opinionated topic. You can also write about how your day is going and whatever else you want at the bottom of your written posts. This will help for the people reading your web blog to relate to you. If the people can relate to your life then they will typically stick around and become a regular reader and contributor to your web blog.

Once you have the initial surge of content indexed and ranking in the search engines you'll start to see some search engine traffic. If you have chosen good topics then the number of visitors could be very large and it's consistent. Your content is what will make you money online as a blogger so make sure you spend long enough writing your posts. Keep things like titles and keywords in mind when you're writing the post so that it's optimized for your needs.

Writing is easy if you open your mind a little bit and once you start writing on a topic the posted articles will begin to flow out of your mind. It's always smart to write a handful of posted articles, I recommend a week worth and keep them stored away in a document. This way if you get sick or go on vacation for a week you can load the pre-written posted articles to your blog and have them posted articles on the same schedule that you usually post them at. This way you don't miss any days of adding posted articles to your blog as it could result in lost viewers if you do miss writing for a few days.

Get Your Blog On The First Page of Yahoo & Google

By Sam Walters

It seems as if everyone has their own blog these days. Companies, music groups, individuals and even peoples pets are the subjects of any number of the millions of new blogs created each month so its no wonder why you might be interested in adding to the mix with your own commentary or point of view. With all the various easy-to-use blogging platforms like Wordpress and Moveable Type the creation of a unique blog has become an easy step for even the most novice internet user. The hard part in creating a blog comes when you'd like the general internet population to start reading your material. You need to create content that is not only interesting but also a reason to entice users to return again and again to see your site updates.

Keywords the most important step while creating a blog. The keyword you select represents what the blog is all about. Therefore to attract visitors to your blog always use a keyword which is attractive and has a great influence on visitors to have a glance at your site. Put your keywords on the title of the page and other pages, all over your site, HTML tags etc. Then we've got content. After selecting keyword, next is the content. The content you give should be strictly in accordance with the Topic which you chose. Content should not be too lengthy or too short. If it is too long then it should be divided into paragraphs. The content should be new and it should be updated daily or on weekly basis. The best way is to include forums and polls on your site.

Social networking sites can play an important role in the success of your site. Social networking sites have become a hub of several millions of visitors. More and more social websites are coming up. Join these social networking websites such as orkut, twitter, face book etc, forums, communities, chat rooms and list your blog's URL on these sites. Before we get too far ahead of ourselves let's remember a couple of the basics, for instance the importance of blog directories. List your websites on blog directories and catalogues. Find the directory that match your keyword of blog and request them to add your blog in their listing. These blog directories play a huge role in increasing traffic to your blog. Thus, it's important to get listed to such directories as much as possible. You can also go all-out and start your own community. You can start your own discussion community, message boards over the internet. It can in the form of online discussion boards, email discussions. This way you can attract more and more regular visitors to your blog. They will come back again and again for the discussions being conducted on the blog.

Try to think outside the box on this one by going beyond electronic media. Apart from online marketing you can also go for offline marketing by way of newspapers, magazines, journals, yellow pages. This is another medium to increase traffic to your blog. Another tactic is to offer free downloads. This is another new and most popular thing which is found these days on almost every site. Put interesting software such as freeware, demo etc and let the visitors download them for free. Like this you can attract visitors and influence there curiosity to visit your blog for some interesting and new downloadable software's.

Now there's the obvious concern - search engines. Get listed on search engines to get your blog being searched by more number of visitors. Few of them are MSN, GOOGLE, and ALEXA. When visitors search on these search engines your blog also get listed on search result. This way you add traffic to your blog. Don't forget about subscription links! Always put subscription links on your site. This way you can increase traffic to your blog. By putting subscription link in form of email newsletters you can force back the visitor to return to your blog for some catchy updates.

How To Romance A Man: 3 Best Ways To Romance A Man

By Sarah Nichols

There are many people, especially those belonging to the old school of thought, who believe that romance is a domain that belongs to the girls only. This is a wrong notion. While there is no doubt that girls love to be adored and be romanced, it is the same for men too. There are many opportunities for men to announce to a girl that they love him and there are ample ways to show off their romance too.

In fact I would state that there is a bit of discrimination. Look at the Valentine Day cards. All are designed for men to proclaim their romance to a girl. There are hardly any cards that allow the women to tell about their love. A casual look at the cards will show that they are made keeping the feminine gender in mind. So how should to go ahead and romance a man? Here are the 3 best ways to romance a man that every woman should know!

1. Romance A Man By Using His Emotion

While women love to be romanced with trinkets, jewelry, flowers and chocolates, men like to be romanced with emotion. In fact, this is one of the best ways to romance a man. These emotions can be proclaimed in quite a number of ways. Suppose he loves a particular brand of chewing gum. The next time you meet him, make sure that you have some of those chewing gums with you and pass on the same to him. These little acts go a long way in romancing a man and making him feel that he is cared for.

2. Romance A Man By Paying Attention To The Small Things

He might not like the pimples on your face. While it's okay that you spend time to remove the same, there is no need to announce the same to him or to show off that you are removing the same for him. Do it discreetly and when he is not about. Applying the acne removing cream in his presence is not a wise idea.

He will find out for himself and at that time, your unblemished face will go a long way in showing off your romance for him. So it is better to let him discover these joys instead of proclaiming the same to him. Let it be a surprise to him.

3. Romance A Man By Understanding His Views On Romance

There are many men who act like children. For them a romantic thing might well be playing a round of cards with his woman. Never impose yourself and your views. You might think romance is having a candlelight dinner, but it is not necessary that he looks at romance from the same angle. Try to find out what is his definition of romance and try to adjust yourself to his views.

This will go a long way to show that you really care for him. The best way to romance a man is to do it the way he perceives romance. Never try to push your views. As your romance builds, he too will try to find out what is your idea of romance and be sure that he too will reciprocate.

Photo Shop Training for Beginners

Something that everyone should know is that the Photo Shop program is for anyone interested in furthering their technological experience. Nothing about this program should be complicated, and that is why it is important to find the appropriate Photo Shop training program. Once you've found it, you will ultimately be able to do everything you've ever wanted in relation to your photographs and website. Everyone has a different learning preference. Some people choose to learn by listening, while others like to learn by seeing. Very occasionally, you might run across someone who prefers to learn by reading a complicated and technical guide, but then again, that is very rare. Most people interesting in Photo Shop training want something that will show them how to perform each and every step.

Advice For Choosing a Domain Name

By Alison Rothwell

Deciding on a website address involves more than just adding a.com to the name of your company. Don't forget it's a key element of your website optimization. For starters that domain may be in use already. If you're set on this choice then there are some ways you can attempt to locate an owner of a domain name, and then make an offer to purchase it from them. This is especially worthwhile if there is no actual web site attached, and owners may be more willing to sell the domain for a lower cost.

There are alternatives including what extension is placed, or how you phrase your name - using dashes is one way to get around it.
