Motorcycle Radio Shows

By L.J. James

I have been active in the Motorcycle Community for many years. I've stood up for Biker's Rights. As a freelance writer, I've written about Clubs, the Community, and the Brotherhood of the Biker World. I've also been involved in many Biker related events either as a DJ or MC.

For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to combine all of this into a Biker Style Radio Show. A show where I could present and discuss topics that are important to Bikers as well as educate the outside world about the Biker Lifestyle and what it means to be a part of the Biker Community.

I knew it was going to be tough. I spoke with some local radio stations about my idea but, they either wanted a lot of money or they weren't interested. They claim that the "Biker Market" is a niche market and Radio Stations want shows that appeal to everyone.

In the summer of 2008, a guy from Florida called the Paisan, sent me an email stating he had read some of my articles and would like to interview me on his internet radio show, Sunday's Sauce Pot. I gave him a call and after speaking to him, I agreed to be on the show.

I did the show with Paisan and his partner Danny Dawg. It was an unforgettable show and I had a great time. I kept in touch with them and we soon became friends. I told them how I had been thinking about doing my own show. They were only too happy to explain to me how I could have my own internet radio show.

Since the show would be broadcast over the internet, I was a little skeptical. After doing some research, I realized that Internet Radio is an up and coming medium. Even now, some radio manufactures are making radios devoted to broadcasting Internet Radio.

I quickly realized that Internet Radio is more suited to what I wanted to present than traditional Radio due to the fact that I could broadcast my show to all over the world instead of being limited like I would be if I broadcast out of a local station.

The other thing that appealed to me was the fact that people could listen to my show any time they wanted to. Bikers like to travel. With Internet Radio, it doesn't matter where you are as long as you have access to an Internet Radio or Computer and WI-FI or broadband, you can catch the show. The fact that you didn't need a lot of money to start up was also very appealing. With a little help from my friends, I went to work. Finally, after 10 years of dreaming, I was On the Air. The Biker Lowdown Show was born.

The road to success was a little bumpy at first. With the addition of Chuck (Alphabiker.com) as my co-host, the road got a little smoother. With both of us researching information, we are able to share much more with our ever increasing audience. The addition of a website to compliment the show adds to the experience. The hard work of my webmaster Bjorn has resulted in a website that offers Articles, Video's, a Motorcycle Forum, and more.

I am sometimes amazed by the success of the show. Our Audience continues to increase each week. The Biker Lowdown Chat Room gets busier each week, letting listeners know they are really part of the show. Although we've come a long way, we're still working hard at making the show even more entertaining and informative for all those who ride or dream of riding. We plan on hitting the road so that we can meet and talk with people and reward our listeners with T-Shirts, Bumper Stickers, and more.

Of course we couldn't do it without the support of our listeners and sponsors whose donations make the show possible. To them, THANK YOU!

I invite everyone to check out the show at www.bikerlowdown.com, and let me know what you think and what topics you'd like to hear discussed.

I am your Bro, LJ James AmericanBikerx.com

Consideration To Be Remembered While Making A Web Design

By Chris Dotson

When a company goes in search of web design, the Denver Web Design company will take into consideration what the consumer needs and wants. The web design expert will always create a site in which people will love to visit and will also satisfy the client as well. To ensure a great end result the experts of the web design process will go through many different steps.

The most important point being that the professionals design the pages in a manner that are easily readable. It is often noticed that when the customers open a site which is difficult to read, they tend to leave immediately.

If the web design was not done properly or is not clear to the users you will see a drop in traffic to the website, thus leading to a decrease in profits. To make it clear and easy to read make sure to include large fonts and clear styles of the font to ensure the user will enjoy reading the material.

The website should have lesser color range. The reason being that is becomes difficult for the reader to read the content on a site which is made in shocking color combinations. The Denver Web Design Company on the other hand uses muted colors which tend to attract more return customers.

You should try to avoid any bright or fluorescent colors, these types of colors may attract the eyes at first but usually end up annoying the user. Try and stick to very subtle colors such as black and white or darker against a brighter colors.

A lot of websites jump to far in, with flashy sites that may seem attractive at first but are usually to complicated for the user to use. Denver Web Design companies will ensure an attractive yet user friendly website. This is to make it easy for the user and at the same time show off some sharp and crisp web layouts.

The Denver Web Design company will research what the users want and will be sure to include content in the website that the users will want to read. Having material that the users want is probably the biggest advantage you can have. They will be sure to update the content on the site regularly to ensure the users will return.

This all includes various pages and venues to keep the user interested and up to date on all the relevant information. After all it is all about what the customer wants.

Using a Link Wheel to Improve Your Search Engine Rankings

By Carl Frost

One way to help boost your results in the search engines for a specific keyword is to build a link wheel around the webpage you want to give a boost. You do this by writing six articles that you can position on social media and other websites and link back to your page and one of the other six articles inside of each of them.

Let me try to explain that a little better. Picture a bicycle wheel that only has six spokes. At the outside point of each spoke is one of the six articles you are using to promote your main webpage or article. The main page is at the center of the wheel. All of the articles on the outside of the wheel contain a link that points back to the main article. Each of them also link to the article next to them on the wheel, so that the links go all the way around the outside of the wheel.

You can draw a diagram to represent the wheel if it helps you understand which articles link where. The main article should be placed in the center of your page, with six spokes radiating out from it. At the end of each spoke, write the name of the article you will be targeting in your link wheel. Now connect each of the outside articles to the one next to it by drawing a line. To make the picture clearer, make the spokes into arrows pointing toward the center and the outside lines into arrows that move all the way around the circle. These arrows show which articles link to what.

Next, you need to know what pages to put the links on. You can use pages on a number of different sites to make your wheel. Any service that allows you to publish a webpage or article containing at least two links will work. Some examples include Squidoo, Hubpages, Blogger and Ezine Articles. Just pick six of these types of sites to use to build your link wheel.

These articles do not need to be unique. They do not even need to be very good, although they shouldn't be total crap. You can use one article to build your wheel. Just rewrite it a little bit each time so they are not exactly the same. The only page that needs to be completely different is the one at the center of the wheel.

The most important thing you need to make sure you do when building your wheel is to use the keyword phrase you want to target as the anchor text for your links. In other words, if you want your central webpage to rank well for "weight loss secrets, " then "weight loss secrets" should be the anchor text you use for the links.

The link wheel described above is really just a start. You can use more than six articles, or make multiple wheels for a single webpage. You can even make more wheels around the articles the used on the outside of your original wheel, so that you have a wheel inside of a wheel. But whatever you do, do it slowly so you don't get penalized by the search engines for getting too many backlinks too quickly.

The second option is to use a web developer to create the site for you. Use a developer that has a portfolio of online stores that you can see. Most developers will customise an existing ecommerce software program for you, although some may create a solution from scratch.

Some common packages that your web developer may talk to you about include Zencart, Magento and osCommerce. These programs will allow you to add products to your store and receive online payments.

Life Made Easy - Web Templates

By Veronica Carrillo

Not all home or landing pages are created equal, nor do they have the same goal in mind. So, if you want yours to do its job, you need to know what that job is. Your home page can accomplish several different goals... just not at the same time. That's why most online business owners have several websites, each with their own landing page. Let's take a look at the jobs a home page can accomplish:

Establish Your Brand Your brand is so much more than a simple logo or a tag line. It is an emotional experience. A landing page that communicates this experience is probably one of the more difficult ones to create... for how do mere pixels on the screen convey emotion? Mostly, emotion is communicated through a website with images, color combination and, possibly, headlines. A branding page is usually heavy on ambiance but light on information.

Landing pages that establish expertise or try to build a relationship are a form of this type of home page.

Or, maybe a better solution would be to have a website with at least one page that has been constructed with thought, saying who you are, how you can be contacted, where you are located, what type of business you are. Something that will give more information about your business than, "Web Page Under Construction".

Would you ask a printer to print pamphlets that say "Web Page Under Construction" or similar, of course you wouldn't. I am also guessing that the printer would say otherwise to.

Whilst you might know a bit about websites, you won't want to get carried away. Will social media or videos, or having an online game be appropriate for your target audience? Now you know more about web design, and how you can make sure you get it right first time, perhaps now is the time to ensure that you have the right web design.

Other than Your Sig Block - What You, the Webmaster, Need to Put in Every eMail

By Veronica Carrillo

When you set up your blog or website it is incredibly foolish not to register your site with Google Webmaster tools. It provides you with a lot of valuable information about your site such as the number of backlinks to your various posts/pages. It also tells you about problem pages for the Google robot as to which pages could not be found, what is restricted by robots text and so on. But recently I found a very useful trick that I have been employing to very good effect.

When I first found Erik Stafford's Faster Webmaster program, I was quite skeptical. What, me do all this by myself? But then I took a closer look... His ad said that a grandmother learned how to do it in no time flat, and so I figured that if she could do it, maybe I could too. The ad worked just the way it was supposed to. And as it turned out, the program it sold did too. It really delivered the goods.

The first important point about this is that you will see that your site might be found or ranked for a search term that you had not targeted. This affords you the opportunity to provide content based around that particular term, which will obviously be mentioned somewhere on your site but not focussed on, to boost your rankings and rank for that particular key phrase.

The course proper consists of a series of modules with friendly and VERY clear step-by-step instructions on how to get a domain name, get a web hosting company, make the two talk to each other, and then set up that first website. Now I know there are a few other courses out there, some of which I may review in the near future. It's a growth market, obviously. So what makes Erik's course so special? The combination of written-down and printable instructions AND screen shots AND videos. He has it all. And I needed it all too. I learn best when I have written-down detailed instructions to refer back to before, during, and especially after watching the instructions on video, and certainly while doing anything on my website. It's all there. And for one of the best prices going.

But there's more. Erik continually adds to his course. There are now a number of bonuses, including modules on how to add pictures, how to submit your site to search engines, and so on. Best of all, Erik is a really nice guy and very helpful. I remember how surprised I was when I first wrote him with a question and actually got a personal response right back - fast! Most other gurus make you fill in a web form and then they have "their people" write back within a day or two or three...Not that The Faster Webmaster leaves many open questions in the first place. Erik continually updates and refines his program, which everybody who bought it once has continuing access to. He has also added a very comprehensive FAQ section, which pretty much takes care of most questions.

There are also numerous websites dedicated to helping newbies run their own website, this includes Google's webmaster tools. Important thing to remember is you don't have to know everything to become a webmaster, but one thing is guaranteed is you will learn and continue to learn new things everyday in your journey as a Webmaster/Marketer/ Internet Entrepreneur.

A Fight In Upstate New York Bar

By L.J. James

It was a quite day in a small Bar in upstate New York . The girl working behind the bar was young, she had just turned twenty one and had only been bar tending a few weeks, this was her first time working alone. Everything was going fine with only two of the regulars in the back shooting pool it was nothing she could not handle she thought to herself.

Then the front door opened and in walked ten of the biggest men she had ever seen. They talked loudly and as they walked over to the far side of the bar, She got a look at the back of their jackets. She could easily see that the markings on them where all the same. The men ordered pitchers of beer and their talking only got louder as they drank more and talked about things she did not understand. Then the men went quite as the front door opened and in walked seven more large men, at first she thought these seven men where with the first Ten as they looked and dressed similar but as she looked at the markings on the backs of these new comers Jackets she could tell while they where similar the markings where different, By the way the two groups where looking at each other she guessed the difference must mean a lot to them.

The Seven men sat up toward the front of the bar and also ordered pitchers of beer. The young girl did her best to make sure both groups where kept happy, but it was just a matter of time and Beer! When one of the men from the first group called out to her, "Hey Honey don't worry about those guys, there losers! Come over here and hang with some real men." That was all it took, the fuse was lit. "Who you calling losers pal we are good enough to beat you any day of the week!" Yelled back a guy from the second group. "You may think your as good as us but you never will be!" Yelled back a man from the first group.

Then in what was a blur to our young barmaid a fight broke out between the two groups it was loud and she could hear glass and wood breaking all around her as the men cursed and screamed at each other. This young Girl was scared and she feared for her life.

Her fear abated a little when in the distance she heard sirens. The police are coming, she thought to herself as she hid behind the bar. The police arrived in force and they stormed in arresting the men and taking them away. When things got quite and all the men where taken away the young girl looked around the small bar. So much damage she thought to herself, She looked at one of the officers and asked how did you know to come here. We got a call that these two groups where both heading to this bar and we just knew, it happens all the time with these type of guys!!!

Epilogue: The next morning when the young barmaid awoke she walked down stairs to the kitchen where her father was reading the morning paper. Does it say anything about the fight in the bar yesterday she asked her father? Yes he said as he pointed to a small article in the back of the paper "Yankees and Mets fans Brawl it out in small town bar" the story went on to explain how all the men where given tickets for disorderly conduct and released. That's it she screamed at her father these men trash the bar, scare the hell out of me, They should all be in jail and all they get is Tickets!!! Calm down sweetheart her father said as he hugged her, The way your acting one would think it had been a bunch of rowdy Bikers in the bar yesterday! Those Guys would have been locked away, But it was only Sports fans!

Elements of Good Design

By Chris Kincaid

Elements of Design are important not only in creating design, but in selling it. The general public seems to have a notion that "design is fun!" And, it is. But there's more to it than simply doodling and applying Photoshop techniques and calling it advertising or graphic design. The following article is a discussion of how design elements are used in order to balance appeal to a reader with connection, or engagement, with that design.

Have you ever thought about how designers provoke different emotions in readers? It has a lot to do with color. Each one can suggest mood. Good examples are green for prosperity and white for possibility, which show up frequently in advertising. But similarly, those colors could communicate illness or anger, not what you'd want to advertise. To help define the mood more clearly, many designers combine the elements. For example, value-the lightness or darkness of a color-can deepen or lighten mood. It's important to match the color to the mood you want to create.

Another design element to consider is size. A common misconception in advertising is that biggest is best. A big font or a big mark will attract attention. Attention, when it comes to advertising should be positive. Again, the idea is to attract, not repel. If a very angular font is used, for example, making it very large will make people feel like they are being shouted at. A big mark will may be so intrusive that the message gets lost. Balance is essential for attracting onlookers.

Shape is a fascinating design element. With it, there is both positive and negative space created. Therefore, it's key that a designer use the positive or negative to the design's advantage, as well as balance the other design elements around the shape. Too many shapes will be a confusing clutter. And remember that shape is the folding of line. Any time a line folds in some manner it creates action. Too much action and too much shape will look chaotic. Texture is similar to shape and is either physical or visual. It creates depth and can draw a reader in quickly, but again, can be easily overdone and create a stressful feeling.

Line is an element that can be described as a verb. If color communicates mood, I guess it's the adjective, while line communicates action and movement. It can be either the linear marks or an edge where two shapes meet. It can communicate hurriedness, relaxation, fluidity, recklessness, pep, flirtation, concentration, and many more kinds of activity to match whatever you are hoping to communicate. Urgency isn't always the best answer; a sense of calm can attract the eye just as provocatively. Similar to the element of line, is the element of direction. All lines have direction, so the important thing to remember is to lead the reader's eye to the most important part of the advertisement.

Design success will come when all elements are working together in a balance to one another. This will take much study and practice, and fortunately there are myriad ads to study, some brilliant and others that are simply terrible. But when you practice design, and it all comes together, you'll find what's attractive and meaningful.

Increasing The Functionality Of Your Website With Web 2.0

By Frances Berry

It is not enough just to have a website these days. If you want your visitors to get more involved in what you do and source potential customers through a variety of channels including social networking then you need a Web 2.0 enabled website offered by website design companies such as Blog it Right.

The added benefits of Web 2.0 enabled websites, such as the practicality and functionality, means more and more website design companies are turning to this technology to increase the online presence of their clients.

Businesses with a Web 2.0 enabled website will reap many benefits as the technology allows them to incorporate blogs, which are naturally more search engine friendly and easier to update, ping articles to social networking sites and RSS feeds and even filter their website's traffic. The SEO process is made simpler and more effective with Web 2.0 and businesses that choose this technology will, with appropriate Search Engine Optimisation services from website design companies such as Blog it Right, increase traffic and improve search engine rankings.

Web 2.0 sites also offer great interactive benefits for the web user such as allowing them to comment on and enjoy blogs, access new websites via social networking or RSS feeds and on the whole have a better visitor experience.

With Web 2.0, web users can take an active role in the media and technology available online. It enables individuals and organisations to come together in new ways and ensures that even the smallest of businesses can shout about what they do.

For web users and businesses the way forward is definitely Web 2.0 technology as the world becomes more eager for information and simpler means of accessing it. The popularity of social networking and blog use will definitely experience a further increase in our desire to 'keep in touch' and businesses that ignore the benefits of Web 2.0 will surely find themselves falling behind.

Web 2.0 is without here and now it is an important part of the makeup of websites, a website isn't really a website anymore without the use of web 2.0. Websites will need to be a living thing and not just a static piece of code, something that speaks to social networks when ever it is updated and incorporates a blog, blogs are so important to a website simply because of the awareness that they can create.

How Do I Make My Own Website Quickly?

By Gina Sue Corcoran

It's a scary and complicated process to make your own website if you haven't done it before. Luckily, there's help out there for you to make your own website if you look for it. The following is a process that's very easy to use and will help you get your website up and running.

First off, a domain name is required. The domain name is the URL of your website. You can get these from a plethora of websites, but a consistently quality source is godaddy.com for your domain name.

A web host is the next thing you need. Web hosts contain the web space where your site will be housed. In order to make sure you get the best experience possible with a web hosting provider, read a lot of literature on these sites before choosing.

Finesse the look of your website. Any old site builder will do, or WordPress will work effectively so you can host your blog yourself. Be sure that the content you want your guests to see is your own, not belonging to anyone else.

Next you will need to optimize your website. This means making sure everything works, ensuring that you aren't using too much of a specific keyword, and making your site readable to everyone who visits.

Publishing your site is next; also, get it picked up by major search avenues, such as Google or Yahoo. Often they will automatically pick up your site, but you can make this happen faster with articles you write about site-related topics, which are then uploaded to directories.

This really is all there is to answering the question "How do I make my own website?" As long as you follow these steps, you should be able to create any type of site that you want and get it showing up in search results.

Professional Methods of Search Engine Optimization

By Eric Stevenson

Search engines change their algorithms constantly. No search engine provider publishes its ranking algorithm. What you will find here is the result of years of continuous research and analysis of web pages and optimizing elements.

Surprisingly, about 80% of the webmasters nowadays still think that search engine optimization is only a matter of meta tags and titles. Nevertheless, it is important to know that many search engines ignore the keyword's meta tag, for example.

Over the past two years, most search engines have changed their search engine ranking algorithm. Today search engine optimization works not only by focussing on the meta tags and the title.

While one website may slip very deeply due to a change, another could skyrocket due to the same change. However, Blue Cyber Studios Ltd. has made it their goal to not just leave ranking to chance, and the positioning of websites is our solely concern.

The design and the structure of a website are also important elements to achieve a high search engine ranking. Where and how a keyword is placed in the source code is just as important as how frequently it occurs.

Here special attention should be paid to the quality and the content of the site. This, of course, can additionally be supported by a user-friendly and target-oriented structure of the website.

Thereafter, the spider will follow the links on the site and then everything is happening once again. A spider can be compared with the browser "Lynx" - the doyen of all web browsers. The "food" for a spider is the text-based content of a website.

All these factors, as well as links to other sites are included within the search engine's sophisticated algorithms, which will help you to achieve a desired rank at the top.

Thus, such people can do great damage. They could just push the placement of your website, for example, by spamming, but this will lead to serious consequences. These can range from devaluation of your website up to deletion from a search engine's index.

Hide Your Website Email Address from Spam Bots

By David Broadhead, Ph.D.

Do you want to hide the email address you use for your website to stop spammers from harvesting it?

If you want your viewers to be able to contact you, then you must have a "mailto" link containing your email address on your web pages.

But if you put your email address on your webpage, this is an invitation to the robots used by spammers. These bot are programmed with one goal: find email addresses. All they have to do on your website is look in your HTML code -- the code that tells your browser what to put on the page. And they will easily find your address right there in the "mailto" link.

The two most common methods of "hiding" the email address:

* Munging. In this technique, the viewer must type in the address to send an email to the website. That's because real words are used instead of the usual symbols. Example: harold AT aol DOT com

* Encoding. The most common code used is standard ASCII code. Each letter or symbol in the email address is replaced by its equivalent. A simplified address a @ b.com would be coded as:

& #97; & #64; & #98; & #46; & #99; & #111; & #109; ( spaces were put in to prevent the browser from printing the actual address )

One can still use the mailto: link, since the browser recognizes this code, and prints out the actual address on the webpage.

But these techniques are no longer good enough.

Alas - the spambots have become more intelligent. The hackers who teach them have programmed them to recognize these two methods, and decode them.

As you might imagine, good programmers exist that can think of other numerous ways to cloak an email address. Searching Google for "hide email address" shows over 2,000,000 results. Many of these likely are better methods than the two above.

So what can I do now?

Without going through all of the Google entries, I can predict beyond a reasonable doubt that the method I use myself does a better job of protecting your email address than any other. How can I be so sure? Because I doubt that any hacker would have the time or skill to write a bot that would allow him to grab my email address -- it's that well hidden!

My method has the email address in the middle of a javascript, which is in turn located off the webpage itself, in a file that's located in a different folder. So the robot would need to discover both the name of the folder and the name of the file. Yet even though the address is not located anywhere in the HTML code of the page, it DOES appear - almost like magic - on the page itself. But a robot doesn't have eyes to see it!

Are you convinced? So-called "experts" have told me that it can't be done. Well, take a look for yourself. Just visit my webpage shown in the next paragraph, and you'll see how it works.

It is imperative that you do not pick a domain name that uses any type of trademarked phrase or name as you could lose the name to the company that holds the original trademark and be out the money you spent to register the domain name. However, just in case even the backups get corrupted, you can use tools such Advanced BKF Repair to restore them.

Back-up on Your Computer This may be the most logical option but potentially not the best. Most people download their digital photographs to their computer and use their computer as the storage device. If you do so, then be sure that you are not worried about the storage memory capacity of your computer. If you are, then you should consider some of the other back-up approaches. Also, if your computer is regularly backed up using automatic back-up software, storing pictures on your computer may slow the performance and increase the time for periodic back-ups.

Back-up on CD or DVD This is a very labor intensive approach. Also, if the CD or DVD gets scratched, you could lose all or most photographs on that storage device. Back-up on an External Hard Drive Increasingly people are dedicating an external hard drive for storing their digital photos or assigning a portion of their external hard drive for storing digital photos. Hard drives are getting cheaper and this could be a very good approach to storing digital photos.

So what do you do if you find that despite being extra careful and taking regular backups, you are in a situation where you are going to lose all your data because your backups are also damaged? You can use a program such as Advanced BKF Repair that will allow you to repair these files easily. Further, this is a highly versatile program that performs bkf repair on files created not just with Windows backup utilities but also on those created with Backup Exec on NT, Macintosh, Netware and OS/2.

By taking regular backups and using the services of Advanced BKF Repair, you can be sure that your system will stay safe and secure for a long time.

Pay Per Click Advertising Evens The Playing Field

By Julie Johnson

It use to be that larger companies had an unfair advantage on the internet, after all they could afford a much larger advertising budget and much stronger SEO management than their smaller counterparts putting them in the top of the search results each and every time.

Once Google realized that the larger business were dominating the internet, they decided to brainstorm ways to give smaller businesses the same advantages. This is when the advertising on the internet took a turn for the better.

One way they found as a successful way to allow smaller companies to gain headway was through pay per click advertising. Allowing companies to pay their way into the top of particular keywords which would help improve their standing on the web. By using PPC advertising, companies with even a smaller advertising budget could quickly move to the top of the rankings for those selected keywords and if they held more relevant content in their site pages, they could actually get a higher ranking for the keywords they were buying into even when they didn't spend as much money on those words as their competitors.

The advent of the pay per click advertising option has finally made it able for smaller business to compete with larger businesses on the internet. In many cases smaller businesses offer better quality products, and better customer service then larger businesses, because every customer is more important to a smaller business, however it was always a challenge for them to compete with larger businesses with large advertising budgets. Now customers are being made aware of all of their options, which allows them to choose the better product, and the better provider, rather then the larger business.

For small business owners the introduction of pay per click advertising has finally made the competition on the internet fair for all of the players. Many small businesses have tried pay per click advertising, and have seen the results first hand. The more people who visit your web site, the greater the chances are that more people will choose to do business with your company, which is the goal of every small business. Pay per click advertising is a great way to advertise your business through the internet without investing in a large advertising campaign.

Process of Providing Professional SEO Services

By J.D Theis

Professional SEO service providers use several techniques which focus on the most successful search results at the leading search engines, such as Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. These searches are based on a natural organic process to increase the traffic to the websites of the clients. As such, any professional SEO service is a continuous course of action that could be achieved only over a period of time. It is not possible to achieve a listing in the first page of search engines the moment the website had been designed.

Professional SEO services would first evaluate the type of business of the client, the industry or market in which the client would be operating, the competition, and the website design. Based on the above factors, they would formulate a method by which the ranking at the search engines could be slowly boosted over a period through several tools that are geared to improve the traffic to the website.

The professional SEO process would normally contain the following steps for the first 5-6 months, so that higher rankings are slowly achieved.

1. Extensive research and analysis of the keywords that are appropriate and related to the niche in which the website of the client would be classified

2. Optimization of around 5 to 10 pages every month with the necessary online page link development

3. Writing and submission of the articles pertaining to the business of the client and submission of such articles to various article websites on a regular basis, with the required variations in keywords for obtaining maximum exposure and advantage

4. Submission of relevant material every month to about 50-60 directories that are friendly to the major search engines

5. Developing links with the most popular and search engine friendly social network websites like Squidoo, digg, propeller, linkedin, etc.

6. Generating blog comment links every month with related blog websites that are search engine friendly

7. Utilizing the advantage of paid blog reviews through press releases so that the brand awareness of the products or services of the client are promoted and powerful backlinks are secured to the website of the client with major news sites

8. Where necessary, concentrate on paid link campaigns for getting links to quality websites that are related to the website of the client

9. Continuous project management with weekly reports and updating for the best professional SEO

With the above techniques and creative handling of the website of the client, professional SEO service providers would be able to ensure good rankings and higher traffic to the website of the client.

 Where necessary, concentrate on paid link campaigns for getting links to quality websites that are related to the website of the client  Continuous project management with weekly reports and updating for the best professional SEO

With the above techniques and creative handling of the website of the client, professional SEO service providers would be able to ensure good rankings and higher traffic to the website of the client.

Intricacies and Procedures in Perfect Web Design

By J.D Theis

Web design is a professional job of creating a website that contains several electronic files with content presentation suitable for delivery to end users through the Internet or the World Wide Web. The delivery is achieved by using the services of a web browser or web-enabled special software such as RSS readers, micro blogging clients, Internet television clients, etc.

Web design involves several elements to be placed on the web pages in the website. These elements would be text, bit-map images of various types like GIF and JPEG, forms, and sometimes more complex media elements like videos, animations, sounds and graphics. These elements would be placed in the website using web design markup languages or tags such as HTML, XHTML, and XML, as well as plug-ins like Flash, Java run-time environment, Quick Time, etc. The plug-ins would also be embedded into the web pages using the above three web design tags.

Web design experts would create web pages either as static pages or dynamic pages. The static pages would have fixed content and layout and remain the same for every visit or request by an end user. Any updates to the page would have to be made manually by an experienced web programmer. On the other hand, dynamic pages would be able to adapt their page content and appearance based on the interaction or the input from the end user or according to the changes that occur in the computing environment like time, user, modifications in database, etc. Web design service providers achieve dynamic content by the use of scripting languages like PHP, Perl, ASP, Cold Fusion, JSP, etc. that work on the server side to compile the dynamic content on the server.

However, with more and more specialization in the IT field, the services of web design and web development are slowly getting separated with service providers concentrating mainly in one of the above two services.

As such, the modern web design service providers concentrate on the exact graphic design of the website to develop and style the objects provided as information to the Internet, so that they possess high class consumer-oriented features and unique aesthetic qualities. Hence, the professional web designers use multiple tools and disciplines like authoring, animation, graphic design, corporate identity, information architecture, search engine optimization, communication design, interaction design, etc. to achieve the best results. This would be possible only if the web design service providers have a professional outlook and clearly define the focus on the exact accomplishment of the website and the final output to the end-users.

Why Good Website Design Is Important

By Alison Rothwell

It's important that your website layout is logical and easy to navigate. Internet users who land on your website can get easily frustrated if it is difficult to find information they need, and with fast internet speeds and search engines offering many alternatives, it can be easier for them to simply exit your site and go somewhere else.

One of the easiest ways to organize your site is to look at your menus. Having clearly defined navigational choices will make finding pages much easier. It's also best to have links to all pages, and not lead users into a maze, clicking through to find the right link to their ultimate destination. Have a specific purpose for each page that you add, rather than flooding the site with many pages that could have been condensed into one or that are irrelevant to what you're selling, or your business overall.

It's also important that you name your pages accurately and clearly so that people can visit a page and see quickly exactly what information is located there. This saves users wasting time reading through information only to uncover that what they are looking for is not on the page. They are much less likely to keep searching if they think that other pages are going to be designed the same way.

It is also important to tag your pages correctly. This will lead users to the web page they need more often, rather than to homepages or unrelated information. They can easily land on your website on exactly the page they were seeking.

Finally, keep all of your content easily recognizable. Clearly mark changes in content or topic and where it makes sense, use bullet points instead of full sentences. This allows a quick glance at each point when looking for relevant details rather than a potential customer being turned away by having to read an essay to find one sentence of detail applicable to them.

Does Your Web Site Need to be Fired?

By Mike Randall

If your website was one of your sales staff would you be happy with his results? A good website design should deliver you quality leads and generate a return on your investment - not just than just sit there and look good.

Remember that website design is a marketing activity not a technology decision. So many people seek out a web developer as their first port of call when they need a website. But that's putting the cart before the horse.

Your first activity when contemplating a website should be to think about your marketing objectives and what job you need your website to do for you.

To do that let's revisit the sales person analogy. If your website was a sales person what should its sales process be? How will it get customers to engage with them and your company. Thinking about this analogy forces you consider what information and functions your website needs to get you real sales results.

For a start, You need to arm your 'online salesperson' with information to they can appear knowledgeable about the benefits of your products and services. He needs to be able to succinctly articulate what your unique selling proposition is.

You need your salesperson to acknowledge that customers are different stages of their buying process and therefore have different informational needs. For example, provide product comparisons for people who haven't yet decided on the right product, but also provide in depth product information for those who are further advanced in their decision process.

You need people to trust your online salesperson too - so consider what do you need to do or say on your website to engender trust. Even the aesthetics of your website can contribute to trust. A shabby looking website from 1992 isn't going to help your image.

Not everyone will buy or engage on their first visit. Your online salesperson needs to provide a reason for the customer to come back. Constantly updated content gives people reason to return. Make sure your website is a worthy destination. A website that never changes is like a retail store that doesn't change their window display. It makes people think they've already seen everything you have to offer and they won't bother to come in.

At some stage in the process, your 'online salesperson' needs to ask the customer's name and contact details. To do this, you usually need to give them the promise of something in return (eg. early notification of specials, a free assessment). This is a critical point in your sales process. Now your visitor isn't anonymous - he has a name and you know how to contact him and have permission to do so. At this point, you can call them an actual 'lead'. Yippee.

Once your online sales person has promised something they have to deliver. They need to follow up on their promise. If you promised email notifications of sales, make sure you do it. Take every opportunity to re-engage with them. That means more opportunities to communicate with your customers and ultimately make sales.

If you actually want to sell your products online, at some point you need to facilitate the sale. Online shopping cart facilities make this easy. Design your sales process so that it provides a good shopping experience. No-one likes waiting in a checkout queue and similarly online shoppers don't like clunky purchase processes.

So when you're ready for a new website - remember, the brief to your web designer should read more like a job description than a shopping list.

Online Biker Show

By L.J. James

I have felt and been a part of Biker Brotherhood almost all of my life. Growing up around My Father (Freelance Author on the Biker Lifestyle Pappy) and my Uncle Trey, I was taught what Biker Brotherhood was about from a very young age. As I grew up I heard many stories about the fun had at Parties, Runs and Rallies.

I also heard about protests (Mostly Helmet) I heard how Bikers were the last of the true Americans. I was taught Bikers believe in Freedom and are willing to fight for it at all costs! As I got older I attended many events and I rode allot.

I became active in Motorcycle Rights groups (mostly ABATE of NY) and I did my part to protect and promote the Biker Lifestyle, I wrote many articles in Biker Magazines and I DJed and MCed many Bike events helping to spread the word of Biker Rights.

In March of 2005 I became a Member of the Mortal Skulls MC and not long after I felt what it meant to be a part of a Motorcycle Club Brotherhood. I also got to know and learn from many members of other MC's. The more I learned and the better I got to know these Men (the world referred to as 1%ers and Outlaws) the more I realized most of these people were the best people in the world, These are the Men who made and continue to make America great! I had heard many negative things about Motorcycle Clubs over the years and the more I was grew apart of the MC life the more I realized something needed to be done.

So my focus shifted from covering parties in Magazines to writing about true Biker Brotherhood. I realized one of the things negatively effecting the Motorcycle World is no one was teaching the younger generation of Motorcycle riders what it really means to be a Biker. The rules and codes of the road where all being lost, TV Show and Docudramas where teaching a Biker History that had no basis in reality. To this day I continue look up and write down as much truth of the history of Motorcycles and the Motorcycle Club world as I can.

I was getting the word out but I wanted a way to be able to speak to Bikers so they could hear my words and feel them expressed as they came from my heart! I knew I wanted to do some kind of Biker Talk Radio Show to help get the message out there. Every radio station I spoke with was either not interested or wanted some huge amount of money up front .

One day I learned about internet Radio! I learned I could do a live show that could be heard world wide on every computer and also all the shows would be archived so they could be heard anytime from the beginning just by clicking on them. I soon started a weekly show about a half hour long each Wednesday coming up with the name "The Biker Lowdown" The show started with just me talking to people about different things going on in the Motorcycle World.

Not long after the show started I was getting weekly calls from this Guy Chuck who called himself the Alpha Biker, Checking his webpage out I quickly learned both me and Chuck were cut from the same cloth and He became the Co-host of the Biker Lowdown.

Soon after thanks to the on air Chemistry and the great radio banter between me and Chuck the show started taking off. My good friend Bjorn took over as the online webmaster creating a webpage all could be proud of.

Hammerin Hank soon joined the Biker Lowdown clan as our Research Reporter. Things just kept getting better for the show.We started getting many great guests and even a few really big names of the Motorcycle world.

When Brenda Fox came on the show one night for an interview to talk about the world of Women's Motorcycling, some where about five Minutes into the interview We all just knew We had a new member of the Biker Lowdown Family! I look forward to seeing what the Future brings for the Biker Lowdown Radio Show,

But for now I am Your Bro LJ James and I will see you on the Road!!!

SEO West Midlands services can help you to increase your online presence, target the right audience and achieve good search engine rankings. The Geo-targeted searches offered by SEO companies such as SEO-it-Right will put your business firmly on the local map.

Search Engine Optimisation is all about increasing traffic to your website but it is also important to gain the right kind of traffic. If your business needs to operate on a national or global level then any traffic is good traffic but if you are a small business operating in a niche market on a local level then geo-targeted searches will improve your rankings in your chosen area.

The West Midlands is a large area and you may be better concentrating on Birmingham, Solihull or Warwickshire, for example, at first. Search Engine Optimisation can then be applied across the county if required. It is far more effective to cover your own area first, achieve good rankings for your product or service in the local searches before looking at the regional, national and global level, if this will help your business.

SEO West Midlands services can increase your search engine rankings in the region and to improve your overall internet presence they will create good quality link backs. Knowing All You Can About Your Web Page

By Julie Johnson

When a Page Rank updates, some common themes arise, which create some confusion as to what it means to your site's Page Rank. the confusion comes when the Page Rank fluctuates, and what that means to the site owner. Here are some of the most common issues:

1. It is not a penalty if, during an update, your Page Rank decreases slightly. In the Google toolbar, the PR rank is merely a grade that Google assigns you. Your PR could lower if you lose some powerful links, or if sites that you link to lose PR, yours will decrease as well. You can also lose PR if Google alters the way they determine PR. Keeping up with your content will keep your PR from lowering. There are many reasons for drop in PR, but it is by no means a penalty. You will only be penalized for doing something that doesn't abide with the Webmaster Guidelines. This will result in removal from the index, or a significant drop in rankings.

2. The displayed PR is not necessarily current. The PR is only displayed current after an update. Although you may have created a well rounded link profile, perhaps added an interface for user generated content, and still end up with PR4 after a few months. You do not know your actual PR, so do not worry.

3. Higher PR does not equal higher rankings. Do not focus on you PR, instead focus on your traffic, rankings and conversions. A lot of searches have PR0-3 outranking PR4-6, it is not solely the measure in the Google algorithm that determines your sites spot. You don't need to worry about your PR unless you are selling links on your site and need to show your PR as being high in order to sell. Keep this in perspective, but do not ignore it. PR is the general snapshot of your site in Google's eyes. Generally speaking, you will rank higher with a high PR, but that is just one puzzle piece.

4. PR juice flows. Do not obsess about your PR, but realize that high PR links flow PR to your site as well. It is not as valuable to worry about your own site's PR as it is to ensure that your incoming links are from high or mid PR sites. If you are looking to gain links, naturally mix in high PR pages. When looking at PR as a trust snapshot, then getting a link from a trusted site, while being relevant to your industry, will boost your PR and you ranking.

Generally speaking, a drop or climb in PR that does not coincide with search results or traffic, should not be disconcerting. Yes, it is definitely exhilarating to watch your PR jump higher, but what is really key is TRAFFIC.
