Choosing an Affordable Domain Hosting Company

By Greg Black

Finding the right domain hosting can be frustrating at times. The average hosting company can promise the world in the beginning and may bring only problems and issues in the end. One of the hardest things to deal with a cheap domain hosting company is issues with support, or the lack there of. The lack of available customer service could be detrimental to your online business.

One of the biggest problems with cheap domain hosting, although cheap, is that they just dont care enough for their customers. It seems that their main concern is getting paid and customer service is far down the list.

Most people are not doing their homework when it comes to domain hosting. Instead of spending a little time and a little effort in researching and finding an affordable domain hosting company that meets all their needs, most are going with a mainstream, run of the mill, cheap domain host who will host their website and thats about it.

It is absolutely possible to find affordable premium domain hosting for around $10-$15 a month. Why sacrifice features you may need, or that will help with your site management productivity, for a matter of a few dollars per year? This type of added service is referred to as the movie popcorn effect. The movie popcorn effect is when you get popcorn at the movies, you can get the small popcorn, or for .50$ more, you can get the large with an added refill! You tell me which one is the premium value at an affordable price.

Technology is an ever changing industry. With domain hosting being in the technology arena, things change from time to time. New features and services are constantly being developed and updated. Maybe you already have domain hosting and youre not sure if your current domain host is the right choice for hosting your domain and website anymore. There are a few things that you should consider a must in domain hosting. They are:

Cpanel: makes managing and maintaining your website and domain hosting more accessible. The Cpanel has many interfaces to the various facets of domain hosting that you may need or want to change. It allows the end user to quickly and easily manage their domains and hosting settings on their own without having to involve a customer service agent.

Bandwidth: is an important factor in the success of your hosted domain because it determines how many visitors your site will be able to host in a month. Your allotted bandwidth to your hosted domain and website should be at least 75 GBs of data. Anything over 50 GBs of data is good for most websites and will support a large amount of web traffic.

Disc Space: is the total amount of your file data that you will be able to save and store on your domain hosting server. The size of disc space needed will be determined by the size of your website files including images. It is recommended to get between 5-10 GBs of disc space which should be plenty. Some domain hosting packages may include an unlimited amount of disc space.

Proper Web Statistics: covers valuable statistical data like, how much traffic you are getting, which keywords people are using to get to your hosted domain and what other sites are linking to you. This statistical data can give you powerful insights as to what parts of your site are doing well and which parts are struggling.

Attentive Customer Service: as we discussed before, is one of the most important things to a domain hosting account. If your website were to go down, think of the ramifications of having your website be down for a whole day and not being able to resolve the issue with a knowledgeable and attentive customer service staff.

Finding affordable domain hosting may not be easy and all domain hosts are not created equal. You may need to look and compare several domain hosting packages from several domain hosting companies to find one that will suite your needs and budget.

If you are not sure what exactly you need to start or you dont have time to extensively compare domain hosting companies, make sure the domain hosting company you do pick at least has all of the above features discussed. Starting with and having a great affordable domain hosting company will prove to be a good experience and will save you time, money and excess hassle in the long run.

Writing Great Content For Your Blog

By M. Reed

Writing content for blogs and websites is an art form, and should be treated as such. Content creation is a professional skill that takes time to develop. Just as with anything else, the more you practice, the better you get. Engaging your audience is key. You have got to make them want what you're offering.

Big words will not get you anywhere. Making your blog easy to understand is a top priority. Using too many big words or a lot of tech speak can alienate you from your audience. Most people expect easy to understand reading on blogs. Try to keep your articles conversational and easy to read.

So show them why they need and want what you have to offer. Make them laugh. Make them cry. If what you have to say in your content gets to their emotions, you'll have a lot better chance of getting them to stay on your site and to come back later. Whether you're selling something to people or just trying to be heard, what you say should be valuable to them. Most people can write about nothing for a very long time, but that won't keep people coming back in the long term, because everything will start to sound the same after a while.

When you write content or when you blog, people should be able to identify with you. Do you ever read something on the Web and find yourself nodding your head in agreement, or find yourself getting fired up and ready to take action? It's because the words that you've read sparked something in you. You were able to identify with the author, at least for that little bit of time. The more a person is able to do that the more successful he or she will usually be at content writing and blog creation, and the more readers and customer he or she will ultimately get.

Another thing you'll need to consider for effective content creation is that people can and do plagiarize. Don't do it. There are many ways to get caught anymore, and if you do you can get in a lot of trouble. It's also not fun to find that your content has been ripped off by someone else. If you steal from others to fill up your site or blog you'll lose all of the credibility you would have had with your audience, too, and who wants that? It certainly won't keep people coming back!

To be effective at blogging, even more so than content writing, you have to have a niche. There are some personal blogs out there that are more like diaries, and there's nothing wrong with that. Many people enjoy writing these, and quite a few people enjoy reading them, too. However, if you have a business and blog for that reason, being more professional and staying on a particular topic is vital. Few people want to go to your real estate blog and read about how your child has the flu so you're watching TV in your pajamas all day. Most people don't care. They're looking for information on your business only.

Who are you talking to? It feels like a Robert DeNiro scene from taxi driver (almost). But you have to remember those words. It can't be stressed enough: KNOW YOUR READER. How old are they? What is the demographic? Male? Female? What other interests do they have? Asking yourself these questions and fine tuning your blog or content to their interests will seriously pay off in the long run.

3 Keys to a Profitable Web Site

By Marty Dickinson

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you visit an established web site like Boeing or Comcast? Most likely, once you reach the home page, your biggest concern is where you go to arrive at what you need. There is little thought as to whether the business will deliver what they promise on their web site.

Now think of a time when you visited a web site that you felt was inconsequential. Maybe it looked like a million sites you've seen before, was obviously done with shortcuts, or just plain looked like it was done by a grade-schooler. I'll bet when you saw that site you weren't thinking "sign me up," but rather "is this company really in business?"

Having a successful web site on the Internet has everything to do with trust. If your site visitor does not believe in you right off the bat, youre likely to lose that visitor forever. Here are some of the key elements to building that trust and creating a successful web site.

First, your web site must give the perception that you are real. Your site visitor must get an immediate impression from your web site that your company is unique from all the others out there and run by actual people. There are lots of ways to achieve this " through compelling and personal text on your site to unusual and identifying graphics and site layout. The important thing is to make sure that you and your web designer never lose site of who you and your company are, and how to present that to the world.

Additionally, your site should tell visitors right away that you are well respected and successful in your field. Use effective copy writing and great testimonials to back it up. Don't be shy and bury your praises far within your site. Instead, display them clearly on every page so that your visitors will see them at once.

Finally, you have to communicate effectively through your web site that you can provide something to help fix your visitor's problems. Site visitors are busy and would love nothing more than to be able to stop searching and start moving toward a solution with what you have to offer. Your well put together, credible web site is the calling card you need to make that happen.

Tips for Writing Online

By Ross Mcmahon

Well-written web content is a crucial factor for attracting and keeping web site readers. One of the most important (but often forgotten) features of a great Web site is the quality of its writing. Many Web designers spend hours designing the Web site and ignore the need to produce readable content that meets the needs of the Web site's visitors. In other words, no matter how good your Web site appears, if its content isn't well written, visitors wont come to it and they won't stay.

Keep it short and simple

The key to writing good Web copy is to keep your text short so that it can be easily read by your visitors. Most people don't read Web pages in the same way that they read words on the printed page. They don't even read every word; instead, they browse the page and look for words and phrases that are relevant to them and to their needs.

Breaking the content into short paragraphs allows the visitor to read or skim a paragraph quickly to see if it contains something of interest. If you can manage it, break the text into bullet points, as these are easier to read and digest " use bullets where order isn't important and use numbers or letters where it is.

When choosing your words, go on the side of simplicity and words that are in common use. A Web site isn't the place to use big words that require your reader to head to the dictionary to understand what you mean.

Get the main points down first When ordering your content, place the most important and relevant content at the top of the page, so it is there where your visitor can see it the second your web page loads. When you are telling your story, tell it in the first sentence or paragraph and then expand on this in a similar way to how you might write a newspaper story. In a good newspaper story, you should be able to split the article in the middle; discard the bottom half, and the top half should still contain all the salient points of the story, albeit in a shorter format and with much less detail.

Write descriptive headings

Headings are a vital part of your Web page or blog and they're important for search engines, too. While you might be tempted to use puns and smart headlines in your text and blog posts and while these look great in print, they are much less effective on the Internet. The reason is that your pages are indexed for display in search engine results, and headings that are a pun or a play on words aren't indicative of the page's true content. You're likely to have your page miss out on being in results that it should appear in, and instead have it appearing as a result in searches that it doesn't relate to.

Even if your pages do show up in relevant search results, the absence of the text that makes the pun heading understandable will make it difficult for a reader to assess the relevance of your page, so they are likely to bypass it in favour of a more obviously relevant page. Instead, keep your headlines simple and explanatory of the page or blog post content.

Write as you speak

Most of us can explain what our interests are and what our businesses do when we speak about them. However, place a monitor in front of many people and it all gets too hard and formal. On the Web, in most cases, we'd do better if we wrote pretty much the way we speak.

So, write in a style that is chatty yet informative, using words like 'you' and 'they' rather than 'one' or other stuffy forms of address. Write in the active voice rather than the passive voice"when you write in the active voice, your writing has more punch and it is generally shorter and more concise, too.

What to write about

Write content that will appeal to your audience. Your Web site should be designed from your visitor's point of view and provide them with what they want to read and learn about. So, make sure your writing focuses on what your visitor wants to read, not what you want to tell them " there is a big difference.

WIIFM (or what's in it for me?), is the subconscious question a reader asks when they are reading your web site or blog content " they want to know how it affects them and what they have to gain from it. For your copy to work, you need to answer this question and do so early in your page or blog post to make sure they read on. You have to entice them into the copy with an offer they can't refuse.

Cutting to the chase

When you're writing content for your Web site, do so in a word processor. That way, you focus on the content and not on the coding or how it looks. Print a copy of your text and read through it carefully. Then remove extra adjectives and adverbs to tighten up your text and give it a punchier reading style. Well-written Web content will make your site approachable for your visitors and help you get your message across to them, whatever it might be.

Procurement Management Solution

By Pri Vag

A 3-in-1 Procurement Management Solution is now available for businesses. This software is a hosted solution offering a Retail eCommerce website, a Trade eCommerce website and a back end Stock management/Order Management system.

A website has been designed to have a single point of administration for all areas. The software can create Salesperson or Agent accounts, monitor commissions, create Warehouse logins, set individual trade prices (on a per customer basis). In addition the system monitors all orders both Retail and Trade, Low stock levels, email based Manufacturer ordering to mention a few.

Customer credit/refund facilities are now available on the market. Credits are against orders and the system checks to make sure that items are creditable and will only allow the process if the above is the case. Credit notes are then generated and stored so as to keep the whole process organised.

Upon refunding your customers, these types of websites give you the option of adding the refunded items to stock or not. This covers the scenarios of returned stock due to the customer not wanting it (which can be added back into stock) and damaged items which cannot be added back into stock.

On the product based system, the system now forecasts what your stock threshold should be. It takes into account the previous 3 months sales for each product as well as current stock levels. This component can be modified to suit your needs.

On the retail website when your customers visit the product detail page they will be able to hover over the product image and another box will appear to the side. This box is a magnified image that is controlled by the mouse on the original product picture.

The following features have also now been installed to the administration section of various websites including customer order reference and order notes, order discount and running total of items.

Instead take your time to learn and understand the different kinds of equipment and figure out your needs. You also need to know the concepts and techniques behind screen printing so you can choose the right piece of equipment that does the job. You'll find yourself at a huge disadvantage if you buy a screen printing device that doesn't have the features you need.

Once again, it is best to check the internet for screen printing materials first. Target the sites that have lots of content and links so you don't need to hop around several sites and get confused in the process.

Screen printing equipment and supplies don't need to be the only things you need to look for on the internet. Some websites may offer useful tips and tricks that can be applied in the screen printing industry. Never forget to bookmark those websites or print the informative pages for future reference.

Ranking on Google: How The DK-is-a-Street-Performer Case Study Can Help Your Business

By Liane Carmi

As a business owner, you may have noticed that a listing in the Yellow Pages - even a full-page color ad - no longer brings you the number of customers it used to. That is because today's yellow pages are really the world wide web. Today, people search for services on Google, and many never open - or even own - a copy of the yellow book.

That is why there is so much business for SEO experts nowadays. Business owners know that the key to getting new clients is to rank on the first page of Google, and they will pay hundreds of dollars per month to get their websites to show up. And when they do? You have a 10% chance of having someone click on your website.

10% is better than no percent - but today's businesses are looking for something more - something equivalent to the full-page color ads that used to draw consumers' attention to your ad in the yellow pages. These ads would increase visibility, and increase the number of new customers coming in.

The "DK is a Street Performer" study shows something new - something unheard of. Instead of bringing just one website to the top of the search engines, certain marketers are now able to bring MULTIPLE sites for one business to the top of the search engines - thereby increasing the chance that a consumer seeking the product will click on their site.

If one site on the first page of Google means a 10% chance of getting a new customer, two sites means 20%, three sites means 40% - and if you rank as high as Liane Carmi did during the dk-is-a-street-performer contest - you could even go up to an 82% chance. At one point in the contest, Ms. Carmi had nine out of 11 listings on the first page of Google.

Google updates its rankings all the time, bringing fresh news and blogs to the top of the page, and moving older items to the second and third pages of search. However, certain sites stay at the top. Ms. Carmi seems to have mastered the skills necessary to turn a website into an "authority" site which keeps a consistent high rank on the search engines.

During a recent interview, Ms. Carmi was asked about the challenge, and what has allowed her to rank so well. "You have to take action, and keep taking action," she replied. "The winner is not the first person to do something - it's the first person to do something, and keep doing it consistently even when everyone else has stopped."

"Find someone who has experience with difficult online markets," Ms. Carmi offered. "This is the person who can get you the highest rankings on the first page of Google." Also, Ms. Carmi recommended getting extra help with your landing page. "In order to make sales, it takes more than a click - it takes knowing how to win the customer over. Most websites don't do that."

Want more information about the challenge and case study? Go to Google now and type "DK is a Street Performer." The sites that come up may surprise you!

The Pros of Using Review Site Templates

By Lala Lopez

The popularity of review sites paved the way for the demand of review site templates. And this trend is observed currently in both the online and offline network.

Basically a review site is a site where opinions of consumers are posted about certain products or services to benefit both people and businesses. The posts in a review site can be written by professional writers or by the average consumers. Epinion.com and Amazon.com are examples of the first review site models.

Before, review sites placed a premium on reviewers' anonymity and even had a law under the Communications Decency Act which protected them from any liability caused by their comments. In the recent years however, review sites started to encourage their readers to use their real names when writing reviews. Some took it to the extent of posting their photos beside their names, which made the review more credible.

A review site can earn income in many ways. Advertising tops the list. And following close behind are paid enhanced listings, comparison shopping, and paid links.

Review sites greatly influence a shopper's decision on whether or not to buy a certain product or service. Reading other people's experiences about the product is a factor a shopper considers before buying it. Apparently, a positive review on a product or service is worth more than a creatively designed sales page.

For the business owner, positive reviews from customers draw the line between mediocre and a winning number of sales. For the internet affiliate marketer, a good review site can help build a clientele following which can translate to a higher conversion ratio and more commissions. Now, isn't that something?

One factor that can affect the overall success of a review site is how it looks. Without a doubt, you wouldn't buy something from an amateur looking site. Most internet users always feel comfortable when they visit a professional looking review site so webmasters see to it that they use professional and ready-made review site templates. A ready-made template is the choice most webmasters take for its ease of use. With one, you can get your site up and running within minutes. Even if you have several niches, a ready-made template has several color schemes which you can use for each one of your niches.

Don't be confused with which review site template to choose. Just visit websites which review ready-made templates and see how a particular template is rated for functionality, conversion factor, and ease of use.

Reach Success The Easy Way

By Alex Sumner

When the datum networking is mentioned, most people I now think about salespeople or business owners exchanging business cards any chance they can. Of course networking can be the card exchange. It`s also "doing lunch" and attending exploits and many other equally valid and powerful things, but even so, most of what is written and thought about networking focuses on external networking.

External networking is important. And, for a leader in a business of any size, I would suggest that the most important networking opportunity you have is the one all around you - networking with those within the company; networking internally. Since this type of networking isn`t talked or written about much; it is rarely thought about. And yet, for all of the relationships, learning and opportunities external networking can bring, the same can be true-blue when you focus on building your network inside your company as well. Here are eight ways you can creatively and glibly network within the boundaries of your own organization.

Consider using a daily traffics checklist. make sure that you keep track of the accounts you are currently handling. With a daily sales checklist, you will have an easier time maintaining active accounts, as well as make old accounts become functional again. Also, by identifying the amount of intelligences you have, you can simplify and approach the number that you can easily accomplish on a routine basis.

Seek out internal elders for yourself and your team. If you are in a relatively large organization, there are probably people that you have heard of or have watched from a distance in admiration. Why not approach them to be a mentor to you and/or members of your team? be a silo buster. If your organization operates in a fragmented, highly departmentalized, siloed way, decide to be the silo buster. All these ideas can help you do this, but the point here is to make a conscious decision to network with the purpose of building relationships that will begin to break down these barriers. Create "lunch and learns". Invite people from other departments with expertise your team or beat doesn`t have to come and share that information over lunch. This creates new learning opportunities for both sides and gives people a chance to get to know new people at the same time.

This way, you are not only ruling in Marketing your product in your postcard printing for example, but you are actually making a commitment to sell your product or service.

Its highly unlikely that your competition will vandalize your place of business as in the movie " surely theyre not THAT stupid! There will be those who resort to mudslinging, however. In those situations, do like Gina did: pick up the pieces, hold your head up and move on. Put your focus on YOUR customers and YOUR business. do not stoop to the accusers dub. As the LOVEly and brilliant Sales Diva, Kim Duke says: People who throw mud are the ones with the dirt on their hands.

Focus your efforts on putting your Business in the market. You actually have to set yourself up on a selling mode. To sell effectively, be in the mood to do so. make sure you know everything there is to know about your product and service. get energized to market your product and put yourself in a positive frame of mind, that selling in itself becomes an congenial activity.

Creating your own products can go a long way to entrenching on-going customer loyalty and cultivation your brand. Treat every customer like they are your saving angel. In this age of continuous bombardment of purchase messages, NOTHING is as effective as good word-of-mouth referrals. People put more credibility to a personal reference than they excessively will in a big advertising campaign. And best of all, the cost to you is NOTHING. Zip. Nadda. Just be yourself, do good work, and create great products your customers taste and want to buy again and again.

Many of the other ideas on this list may be the platform or the "excuse" for such an contingency - but you can come up with many more that will harrow within your organization now that you are thinking about it! All of these ideas may not apply to your situation, but some of them will. For every idea I`ve shared I would guess you can think of five more. In the end, the most powerful key to implicit networking is to perfectly start doing it! As you build your internal network you will create benefits and opportunities for you, those you`re networking with, and for your team and colleagues. When you look at it this way you hopefully realize what a valuable investment time spent on building a larger and broader set of combinations inside of your company can be. Potential Pointer: The most overlooked opportunity to network is not out in the world, but right inside your organization. As a leader, or aspiring leader, when you mine the network and combinations within your company you help both yourself and your team create greater success!

Can You Create A "Buyers Only" List?

By Boritch Y. Genovich

Content is the royalty of establishing credibility, gaining trust and producing sales. It is KING, gets to wear the crown, sit on the throne, and rule the world. While it is still a good idea to send high quality content to your subscriber list, there is a much more lucrative list made up of customers who have no concern about content.

"What is this type of list?" you ask. - The "announcement list". I've been teaching about the "announcement" list since at least 2002 (on record at an event). And, yet, it's a widely untapped asset in most email marketing circles. The main reason is: nobody's teaching it. And so, nobody knows anything about it, let alone how to effectively create one of these lists. So, we're going to revisit it.

-------------------------------------------------------

What Is An "Announcement" List?

-------------------------------------------------------

DEFINED: This is a list whose total act is to notify that something new is released for purchase, consumption or review. It unabashedly announces, "ZYX has just been released. Come take a look at it!" The first time you hear this you probably asked "Why would anyone join a list with no content and only a sales pitch?" Well, when you look at it that way, you are probably right and it doesn't sound really great to me either. So you don't say it that way, you say it the right way...

-------------------------------------------------------

How About An Example "Announcement" List?

-------------------------------------------------------

When you visit my site you will see a classic example of what I'm talking about. PLRSO is shorthand for Private Label Rights Special Offers. The list was developed only to inform people whenever I have new PLR offers available for them to buy

That's it. I don't send out ezine articles to them. No newsletters. They don't get blog posts. There aren't any special reports. No content of any kind. What they get, in essence, are sales messages. And there are already 2,822 subscribers, many of which have already purchased some of the PLR special offers that have been "announced" to the list.

Why does it work? Let me give you plenty of reasons...

1. I took something that was "in-demand" (PLR) and I allow people to get a head-start on the world by knowing about new releases FIRST by joining this list.

2. This is not an "announcement list", it is the "Free PLR Club". This changes perception immensely.

3. I purchase a separate domain name for it, increasing the perceived importance and value to those who subscribe.

4. Joining does not commit one to buying. Purchase what interests you and pass those that don't.

5. I provide a cost example illustrating what is available for purchase right now, adding to the perceived value of the free "membership"

The idea of creating the "announcement list" becomes a complete no-brainer when you throw in the following twist. My affiliates get to "give away" free memberships to the PLRSO club. Then when a referral buys an offer, they get a check. I get a lot of other people promoting and building my list for me and we all win.

Is that sawdust I hear burning?...

-------------------------------------------------------

What Kind Of "Announcement" List can I Build?

-------------------------------------------------------

There are a wide variety of "announcement" lists that you can build. Let's briefly look at nine of them...

* PLR List. Swipe my idea, create yoru own list of private label rights buyers.

* New Offers List. Build a list of people who love your work and want to be notified any time you have a new offer available.

* Pre-Launch List. Send information out to this list to create buzz and anticipation for an upcoming new product release several weeks (even months) in prior to release.

* Ezine Publishers List. With a list of publishers who want to know when you have a new ezine article available for reprinting in their ezine.

* Bloggers List. Another idea is to allow bloggers who are looking for ready-made content to post to their blogs.

* Industry News List. Every industry needs someone who has their finger on the pulse. You could become the "go to" guy or gal for breaking news about your industry.

* Joint Venture List. Everyone needs a list of partners and affiliates ready to promote your new offer anytime you have one.

* Incentives List. Here's a great idea - create a list of people who you offer "incentives" to when they purchase someone else's new product through YOUR affiliate link.

* Freebie List. On a regular basis, give away rebrandable content to these subscribers to earn commissions from their efforts.

These nine types of lists won't immediately be buyers from the get go, but the subscribers can become buyers and generate revenue if implemented. While content may be king, there are still a lot of princes, dukes and earls out there too.

Getting Organic SEO Right. Are You Dense Enough?

By Steve Fawcett

Settle down, I'm not questioning your IQ. In the world of organic SEO 'How dense are you' isn't an insult, it's a legitimate question. Plenty of SEO copywriting services will imbed chosen keywords or keyword phrases into your web content, and then bill you for organic SEO optimization. Ripple dissolve to a few months down the road --- you're left holding a site with no web lift - and your so-called SEO copywriting service is MIA.

Density is the science of incorporating the most effective keywords into your web copywriting, all with the most effective mix of static content to new content. Every site is different. Every page is different. There are formulas, but they will change depending on the number of words you have in your content, tags and meta tags.

An SEO guru I know likes to say that SEO density is a range. Still, we need to fall into that range. Too few keywords and you've missed the mark, wasted your money, and wasted time.

Having too many keywords may even be worse. You get pinged by Google indexing for what they call 'keyword stuffing'. That can set your organic SEO effortsback a long way.

Either way, the trouble with a lot of SEO copywriting is that by the time you find out it's not working, you've lost months of valuable time. Plus you lose the site hits, customers and worst of all, the profits that go with them.

Once you look into it you'll find there are plenty of easy to use tools for measuring the density of the keywords on each page of your site. A great place to start is with the SEO Quake plug-in made for Firefox.

Most organic SEO copywriting services rely on the more logical left side of their brain. A few rebels lean more on their right brain, the creative side. I'd bet my Organic SEO budget on the creative right-brained thinkers any day - the best will put effective keywords into content that jumps off the page, gets your clients attention and sells. But you'd better make sure they know their density.

Which brings me full circle to ask: how dense are you? Does your website have the optimal length of content - with the optimal keywords for your product or service - imbedded at a density level that gives you the ranking you're looking for? If not -- how dense are you?

Orange County California is such a wonderful place to live and do business. There is a saying here that in Southern California, you are four hours away from everything. This is even more true for people who live in Orange County who just happened to be centrally located in Southern California, just between Los Angeles and San Diego. Instead of being four hours from everything, the people of Orange County are more like one hour from everything.

Because the area is so beautiful and the location is perfectly suited, many people from around the world are attracted to come and live, vacation, or do business. In fact, Orange County draws more tourists than anywhere in the world. In one area of the freeways, more cars travel here than anywhere in the world as well. The county has drawn many important businesses to the area, especially in the area of technology. If there is a group of people who understand how to best use technology, then it must be the people of Orange County.

If a site is properly made from the ground up, then it will have a much better chance of placing well in the search engines.

Get Immediate Productivity with Outsourcing

By Jay NaPier

Outsourcing has quickly become a great way to build a business. It reduces costs, time to learn new things, and lowers your overhead. By simply allowing another person or company to do what you might have done in house, you can increase your productivity and conserve resources.

Outsourcing is not new, it's simply used more often. For years people have outsourced things they didn't want to do, like cleaning the house, mowing the lawn or cleaning the pool. In business, outsourcing is used for websites, graphic design and accounting. Doing this allows you to leverage other peoples time and knowledge without bring a new person on staff.

For business, it allow you to perform tasks that generally only a larger business can do, but you don't have the expense of an additional employee. Payroll is a great example. Many business owners find it is cheaper to outsource payroll than to have a full time person doing the work. Webdesign, maintaince and sales are other skills you can outsource and not have the regular wages, benefits and office space required to maintain a full time position.

You might have already experienced outsourcing and not known it. Many of the top tv infomercials outsource their order taking to an independent business owner who works right from their home through an outsource agency. Computer companies have used outsourcers in other companies to handle tech support for year as it's cheaper to hire labor in other countries.

The concept of outsourcing work to foreign countries is a controversial issue for some. Believing that native citizens should be a company's first choice or that companies who use inexpensive foreign labor are exploiting workers, many protest the practice. However, companies with a focus on the bottom line proceed as the benefit to them outweighs contrary opinions. Also, considering that the cost of living can be incredibly less in some countries, workers in those countries consider the pay to be very good.

If you're going to use outsourcers, you'll want to know these keys. Don't expect to find the right person upfront, ask for samples of their work, and have a trial period. It is cost effective, but don't get emotionally attached to just one person. Hire several to start, then pick the one or two who do the best work.

Finding the right person or company is a process and you should use caution with sensative information. After you've gained a level of trust with a company you can allow them access to financial information and proprietary information that you wouldn't want your competitors to have.

You can expect to see more and more people who use outsourcing. Web Design, Bookkeeping, and customer service are just a few of the ways we use virtual assistants. You can also use them for your online and offline marketing tasks as well. Using a virtual assistant is just like having a secretary who works right there with you, but there are not social requirements and many times the assistant can be more productive.

Underrated Traffic Source: Expired Domains

By Nelson Tan

You may be interested to buy those traffic blasting software in the market but please don't ever believe in buying a list. The fact that this kind of head count doesn't come to you directly and willingly will prove you still can't sell or please everybody in the list. Worse, you never know whether the people in the list have given consent to their addresses getting sold around, which is normally NOT the case.

The loyalty of your subscribers must be earned when it is a legal obligation to make it very easy for them to opt-out!

Buying expired or unavailable domains is a smart move. It's like people going to a shop when it has already closed down and they suddenly teleport (redirect page) to your shop. Once you bought it, make sure the web host company doesn't own it (YOU own it) and you can always transfer the domain to a cheaper host. Do a search for 'purchase expired domains' and you get good leads. I suggest WebExpired.com.

Buy domains with the right keywords related to your business. People going to an invalid hair gel site are not going to buy an e-book on viral marketing.

And of course, those cyber-squatters who make a living out of buying and selling domain names (read: GOOD keywords) are playing a different ball game altogether.

Using A Long Web Domain Name As A Marketing Strategy

By Nelson Tan

In the world of 21st century, it is no longer surprising to find that most business had already establishes a web presence to support their brick-and-mortar businesses. There are many advantages of establishing a web presence on the Internet such as selling globally to prospective customers and disseminating information to the public.

Most business owner would have already understood the importance of a web presence to their business. What most of them had failed to understand is that the domain name in their website can contribute significantly to their online marketing strategy.

First, we look at a few rules of a good domain name. Most would agree that a good domain name should:

1) be able to describe your business when people first look it. 2) include hyphen in between the words to make it easier to read. 3) have an appropriate .com, .net, .biz, .info, .org to reflect the nature of the business.

What I differ in opinion is that a long domain name "mysuperduperbrandflyingsite.com" can be as effective as a short domain name "superduper.com" depending on the context where the domain name is used. Many people would definitely disagree with me on this point as they believe that a short domain name is easier to remember. However, a long domain name can be just as effective depending on the context where it is used.

Having a catchy long domain name such as http://www.dont-miss-a-thing.com or http://www.once-in-a-lifetime.com/ would definitely helps to draw attention to your business promotion rather than promoting your website name http://www.yourcompanyname.com which is mundane.

When people reach http://www.dont-miss-a-thing.com or http://www.once-in-a-lifetime.com, you can communicate a short sales message before driving them to the appropriate web page.

Thus, depending on the context where the domain name is used, a domain name can actually help to make or break your overall marketing performance.

What Does It Take to Become a Graphic Web Design Expert?

By A Nutt

Graphic web design is a highly lucrative profession, because the World Wide Web is quickly becoming the most important tool any organization, business, or individual has to get a message out to the public. Many of today's graphic designers are almost entirely self-taught, and this is entirely possible to do, but if you want to be viewed as an expert, you will need some formal education and on-the-job training.

Internal Qualifications

Anyone can pursue a degree in graphic design, but not everyone has what it takes to be a graphic web designer. Individuals who do well in this career must be creative, because every website is going to be different. They also must be good communicators, because they must be able to talk to clients in order to determine what their exact needs or desires are, even when clients are not always sure what it is they want. An ability to put ideas into visible forms is a must, and web designers who pursue graphic arts must also be skilled with using computers, web interfaces, graphics software, and design software. Problem solving skills are another must for this field. Finally, graphic web designers have to have an eye for detail.

Formal Education

Graphic designers absolutely must have a bachelor's degree in graphic arts. Those who want to use their skills to design websites may want to minor in IT or computer sciences, if possible. The major needs to be graphic arts, however, because this is the most complex part of the work.

A typical graphic arts program will include the following courses or studies:

Principles of design Computerized design Studio art Printing techniques Web site design Commercial graphics production

For potential graphic designers who already have a bachelor's degree, a two-year associates degree in graphic design may be sufficient, provided it comes from a professional school.

In addition, graphic web designers must keep themselves current on the software used to design websites. Because this is constantly changing, these professionals often pursue continuing education through seminars, training programs, and webinars that show them how to use the newest programming.

On the Job Training

Becoming a true expert in the field of graphic web design requires practice. Some web designers will work alongside professional graphic designers as assistants or interns in order to learn the ropes. Others will do side jobs for friends and family members for free or at a very low price so that they can gain some experience and some websites to link to in their portfolios. In general, one to three years of practical experience is required before someone is viewed as an expert.

Portfolio

A graphic Toronto web design career centers on a winning portfolio. The images and websites in a professional's portfolio speak for themselves, lending credence to an individual's academic qualifications more than a resume, letter of recommendation, or any other professional certification can do. Beginning designers need to focus on building a quality portfolio that showcases their work well, and soon they will be viewed as experts in a highly competitive field.

Have You Figured Out How To Use An Expired Domain List Yet?

By Tim Buchalka

So you are in the market for purchasing domain names so you can make your first million (or two) on the internet.

Before you rush out and register that brand new domain I am going to suggest that you consider an alternative, an expired domain.

An aged/expired domain is a domain that has been previously registered by another person, and that person or company has, for whatever reason decided not to renew it. Sometimes the reason is simply that they forget. There was a famous story a few years ago when a important domain passport.com owned by Microsoft themselves was not renewed when it came time to renew the registration, meaning it became available for absolutely anyone to grab.

This guy did just that with this domain, but luckily for Microsoft this guy did the right thing and gave the domain back to them (I think Microsoft paid him back the registration fee).

Other reasons for not renewing a domain might be that the person that owned the domain left the internet game, or they maybe transferred the business that used to operate on that domain to another person. In fact there are a number of reasons why domain names do not get renewed.

So what are the advantages for you re-registering an expired domain?

1. Links - Most domains, particularly those domains that have been actively used in the past and not just parked have other domains linking to them over time, and these links form a major part in determining how well the domain will rank in the search engines for particular keyword phrases.

2. Page Rank - As a result of these links, many of these expired domains will have existing page rank.

3. Age - As a general rule the search engines give more power to domains that have been registered for a a longer period than other domains.

4. Traffic - Many domains will have established traffic, with visitors rolling up to that domain each day, usually as a result of previous promotions completed by the previous site owner.

5. No Sandbox - New domains are once in a while placed in a "sandbox" where they will not get as much traffic as older domains until they have being around long enough to be trusted by the search engines.

These are probably the most attractive factors to consider when re-registering an aged domain versus registering a brand new domain.

There is an very important distinction I recommende you become familar with between an aged/expired domain and a deleted domain.

An aged or expired domain name has the existing age kept. For example if I registered a domain three years ago and then did not renew the registration and you come along and re-register it, then effectively the domain is still three years old and gets all the advantages of that age in the search engines.

If however, you re-register a deleted domain, then for all intensive purposes you have registered a BRAND NEW domain. You will still be able to take advantage of any links, page rank, and traffic, but your domain may be subjected to the sandbox, and WILL be treated as a brand new domain by the search engines.

So the key is to make sure you get the domain before it is deleted by the domain registar. There are a number of websites with free search capability available that you can use to search for aged domains or expired domains.

Just do a search in google for terms such as aged domain finder or something similar.

These websites will often even allow you to search for domains and return information about the age of the domain, existing page rank, number of links, traffic, and even allow you to use the wayback machine (a catalogue of all web pages at various points in time) to see what content was on the domain in the past.

Some of the better services will even allow you to search with keywords as well which is a very powerful feature.

You see domains rank better in Google if they contain one of more keywords relating to the particular niche you are looking to get involved in.

For example if you are selling products for cats, then if you have the word cat or cats in the domain name this will help you get better rankings than domains that do not have this (if everything else is equal).

Essential tips to purchasing aged domains

1. Try and get a domain at least five years old (the older the better, this is a minimum).

2. Aim for a decent number of links as possible (although this is not essential).

3. Existing Page rank is not necessary but a bonus if you can find it.

4. Existing traffic again is not essential but is a huge bonus.

5. Make sure the domain has a keyword relating to the niche you are going to use the domain in.

6. Check the history of the domain to make sure you are happy with the previous content that has been used on the domain previously. Bad content may have blacklisted the domain in the search engines. Many services allow you to search for this automatically.

7. Optional: Use a service that allows you to search closeouts. These are really cheap domains usually costing only $5 (plus standard registration fees). Wht buy premium domains if you do not need them? You do not need to spend a heap of cash to find domains that have most of the factors discussed above. In fact only recently I purchased a 9 year old domain, with 200+ web visitors per day and lots of backlinks for just $5 !

Buying aged domains can really give you an advantage on your competition, and if your smart and use the right websites, and look for the right type of domains, it need not be an expensive exercise. Isn't your online efforts worth spending an extra $5 to get an aged domain so you can take advantage of all these factors?

MLM leads for mlm success

By Alexis Kenne

There are many different companies and services that offer mlm leads and mlm training, but is this really the best way to succeed? Many people are involved in mlm and many people struggle as well. What are the keys to mlm and how can you separate yourself from the pack?

The basics of mlm are simple. An mlm company has some sort of product or service that they distribute. They will contract with individual people to distribute their product. These distributors will also attempt to bring people in to the company to distribute the product as well. These new distributors fit into the first distributors "downline". Therefore a percentage of whatever they sell goes up the line to the initial distributor. It is advantageous for the distributors to get as many people beneath them as possible. Therefore their time is leveraged by the efforts of many.

Succeeding in the mlm industry has eluded many people. They think that they can simply join a company and the money will start flowing in. However, they fail to realize that there is work involved. Succeeding in this industry is all about mlm leads and mlm training. With a steady source of mlm leads, you will be sure that your business is always growing. It is purely a numbers game. A certain percentage of everyone that you show will join whether you try to convince them or not. They'll see the potential and get in. This means that you have to have a steady source of mlm leads.

Not only will you need good leads, but mlm training is also going to be important. You could really start of well, sponsoring 15-20 people one day, and this can lead to money in the beginning. The problem is, if these people don't continue your efforts and do the same thing, then business will not be great. You want these people to take your efforts and duplicate them, and to accomplish this mlm training is important.

The importance of mlm leads in the industry is paramount. Most companies teach you that you should go throughout your circle of influence and try to talk to everyone that you know about your opportunity and products. Many people do this and find that they didn't have as many friends as they thought they had. They'll also run out of people to talk to relatively quickly. If you know 100 people, if you're very influential, you might be able to get 20 of them to sign up. However, in most cases, you will probably only get two or three people to join. So now that you've went through all of the people you know, how are you going to keep your business going? You've got three people that are beneath you, but you'll need a lot more than that if you want to succeed.

So, how can you start getting these mlm leads? Well, you have several ways you can try. Ads in your local newspaper is an option, as is posting in forums and bulletin boards on the web. With the modern technology available, using email capture pages is a great option, as is using pay per click campaigns. Once you have email addresses, you can send out newsletters regularly. This will help you build trust, and eventually some will join up.

So how exactly do you generate mlm leads? There are a number of ways to do this. You can run ads in the newspaper, internet bulletin boards, or a number of other means. In today's technological society, pay-per-click campaigns are popular as well as capturing email addresses. When you send out a regular newsletter to a list of people, eventually some of them will start to trust you. This in turn, leads to them joining you.

Overall, success in the industry boils down to the amount of quality mlm leads you can get and then how well you can train them. Focus on those aspects of your business and before long, you'll be able to build your very own mlm empire.

Tips from a Web Designer

By Mathias Gelment

The more you work at any job, the more little things and lessons you learn. This is no different with web design. As a web designer for the past six years, I have learned a great deal about how to work clients to come up with the best designed possible for them up. Sometimes you won?t always love the designed, but as long as the client does, it is a job well done. I?d like to share just a few best practices that I?ve developed over many years of doing web designed for a wide range of clients.

My absolute best practice, which I highly recommend to every designer, is to ask the client to provide you with a document that displays a few of their favorite web sites. Underneath each URL, ask them to provide a paragraph or two of why they like the site so much. Tell them to be as specific as possible. Also, have them include any bits about the site that they actually don?t like. This document will help you greatly in crafting your design for the client. By receiving this, you are getting a glimpse at the client?s tastes; you?re seeing exactly what they like and can tailor your design to what they like.

Just as I capture their favorite websites in the same niche, I also have them provide in the same document a list of the other sites in the same niche and that they do not like. This does the opposite for me, it lets me know the design elements that they do not like. Again, they provide a paragraph or two about why they do not like those sites. These documents are so valuable because even before you have started to design you already know of some of the things that the client really likes and that the client really does not like.

My final best practice focuses on the navigation. The navigation is critical for the web site. If your client has put together a navigation layout be sure you thoroughly review it and understand it. You?ll have likely done many more web sites than they have, and you can provide tips and information on how to better organize their content. Once you have done this, you can help them lock down the navigation. Locking down the navigation helps you because you can then determine how to best layout the website. This helps to determine whether you want to implement a left side navigation, right side navigation, or navigation that runs across the top.

These are just a few tips for you to think about. They certainly are not things that I was thinking about when I first started out as a designer. Now, they are some of the first things that I think about and talk to the client about. These few simple things have drastically reduced the number of revisions I?ve had to do because I already have a good idea of the client?s likes and dislikes.

FTP For Beginners

By Stephen Grisham Sr.

FTP is an abbreviation for "File Transfer Protocol". It is used to upload and download files to an online server.

Even if you are not aware of this, you probably use FTP regularly. An additional typical FTP use is for downloading files online. You most likely use FTP when you download big files like a video or music. Also, being able to move files to various places makes FTP necessary for anybody designing a Web page.

An FTP address resembles a Website address with the exception that it usually has an "ftp://" rather than an "http://". A server might be created to be dedicated solely to connect via FTP.

Servers are sometimes dedicated for receipt of FTP hookups. This is called an FTP server or FTP site since it only receives FTP connections; this is similar to a web server which is a computer that's purpose is to host web pages.

An FTP Client (FTP Software)

FTP Client is just a glorified title for software created to transmit files through an interconnected system. In reality, the internet is a massive, "wide area network" or WAN.

Extra features of the FTP Client consist of: many simultaneous file transfers, being able to make folders on a another server, being able to use CHMOD (Changing permissions); giving files a different name, removing files and other operations.

Where can I get FTP software from?

1. Anyone planning on transmitting multiple files should consider investing in a quality expert-level FTP client such as WS-FTP Pro.

2. While Windows Explorer is suitable for FTP, it is often difficult for people to use.

3. Filezilla is a very useful free FTP client.

4. Typically it is possible to locate a complimentary trial edition of FTP clients if you intend to upload a limited number of files or simply wish to try it out.

Before you upload files using FTP, you must know:

1. The FTP Host (Server) usually ftp.somewebsite.tld or simply an IP address

2. The FTP Username

3. The FTP Password

4. Use Passive FTP? (Typically "Yes")

5. Connect Through Secure (SFTP)? (Ordinarily "No")

6. The port for the FTP (Typically 21)

7. You will almost never upload to the initial folder that you connected to when the host connects. Typically web contents are placed in a folder called /public_html or /www or /httpdocs depending upon which operating system is used. In order to publish a website, you must know this. In addition, you must know the name of the main page. (Normally index.htm or index.html, or home.htm) if publishing a website.
