Tips to Avoid Badly Designed Landing Page

By Carla Carl

Almost every internet marketers know how landing page design is very important. It's because the success or failure of your business will depend on it. A good landing page design can help you sell your products and build your list of customers. At the same time it helps you grow your business from the ground up and drive closer to success. But still, some marketers failed to be successful maybe because of badly designed landing page.

Honestly, it is hard to design a page especially if you are not experienced in creating a site. You time, your skills and patience is the main requirements upon doing a page. But you can still make your landing page look great, by knowing some tips from the expert how to do it. Here are some of tips that you can keep in mind:

If you are just starting up to make a landing page, you need to know your audience. Knowing them will help you decide what your landing page will have. You can put any information related to what your audience need.

Upon designing your page, keep in mind that simple design is the best thing to do. Two to three colors may be enough to use. Any font is good but research said that Arial, Helvetica and Geneva are best font to use. Avoid too much flashy images and animation. This will just distract your customers.

Assure your visitors that they have come to the right place. Your headline must match to your ads. It is important that it match because if not, your visitor will surely hit the back button if they found out that there is no relation between your headline and your ads.

If you are going to put information about your page, better make it short. Be straight to the point, otherwise your visitor may leave if you will post a long paragraph information in your site. Mind your copy. A smart design plus good content makes up for an unbeatable duo! Just keep it short and simple and you're as good as set!

Upon asking information from your visitors, never ask too much. You may scare them by asking too much information. A name and a valid email address may be enough. And be specific with the instructions you want to expose to your visitors to do.

If you once failed to have a good landing page, improve it the next time you make it. Don't take a risk of having a rush landing page. Like I have said, you need patience, time and skills upon doing your site to make it looks great and hook visitor's attention and make them your regular customers as well.
