In this method, they help you design your website in the way the search engine wants, so that it matches the criteria and hence gets listed in a high rank in the search engine. There are no specific rules for SEO, but there are definitely some common criteria that all search engines follow.

One such criterion is Keyword Selection in your webpage. When you are targeting for Local SEO then keywords play an important role in improving your search rankings as well as directing only focused traffic to your website. You should thus carefully select only those keywords which you intend to be ranked for.

Now, you should always consult an SEO expert before choosing the keywords for your webpage. This is because there are many exceptions to keyword searches. You can include a keyword which is common in many similar web pages, and hence might never get listed. So, to get focused keywords you should consult an SEO expert who will suggest the right keywords only after performing relevant research.

Using the Google Keyword Tool, which will list you all the probable keywords that you might be searching for in a particular subject, is also an effective solution. For example if you search for books, then the keywords presented to you might be, bestselling books, story books, cheap books, etc.

In order to get a more focused keyword, you can search a result again, and a different set of keywords on that specific word appear. For example, cheap books search may get you keywords like cheap comic books or cheap second hand books and so on. The more long and focused the keyword is, the better are the chances for your listings.
