Texas Web Designers Profit in Spite of Economy

By Jordan FeRoss

When you think of Texas, do you think of tumbleweeds, cactus and cowtowns? True, we have those things. But, we also have Dell Computers, Hewlett-Packard, Sun Microsystems, Texas Instruments and many others. Some of the most profitable high-tech companies in the world reside in Texas. This has allowed several Texas Web Designers, big and small, to reap the benefits of a growing economy that is seemingly unaffected by the economic downturn much of the nation is experiencing. These companies all share a common philosophy and mission statement. Give consumers what they want at a fair price and quicker than anybody else can give them.

Michael Dell, the founder of the company, took the simple principle of JIT (just-in-time) inventory practices and used it to create a business model that allows customers to get exactly what they want - FAST - A method that Michael Dell aptly described the process as "turn and burn". Texas web designers use this same philosophy, giving clients options, not restrictions - all while directing them down a path that facilitates rapid design and deployment.

Texas has spawned some of the most influential literary, musical and political minds in U.S. history. Leaders like Sam Houston, Stephen F. Austin. Musicians like Stevie Ray Vaughn. Businessmen like Michael Dell. But the example doesn't stop there. Texas Web Designers are exploring new horizons in the new Wild West - cyberspace.

Just look at how many new businesses are moving to Texas. From west coast real estate investors to large multinational, technology corporations, businesses are flocking to Texas in droves. In fact, the DFW (Dallas-Ft.Worth) area is the number one fastest growing city in the nation, followed closely by Houston and the Austin/San Antonio area - both of which are ranked in the top 10 of fastest growing cities in the U.S. This has created an abundance of work for Texas Web Designers.

Many new businesses are making the move to Texas, especially those in the housing market. Real Estate Investor are coming in droves. West Coast housing is dead. Homes are being sold there at half the cost they were only two years ago. The stock market crash has crippled major industry, even the automotive industry. The one industry that seems to be untouchable at the moment is web design. Perhaps this is why we see a steady growth of Texas Web Designers springing up in the N. Dallas area.

When in search of a web design company, make sure you ask the right questions, such as how long the business has been in operation, what kind of work they've done and what guarantees do they offer. If a company does not stand behind its work, they're either con-artists or incompetent. The majority of Texas web designers are honest and ethical, but there are a few mavericks out there that you will want to be wary of when making a final selection.
