Boosting Your Google Search Ranking

By Cheryl L. True

Some people are just too wise believing that they can succeed in their online business without dealing with search engines and knowing how they really work. This kind of thinking, however, is very wrong. Indeed, there are numerous ways to promote your business on the Internet but putting your web site on top of the Google search rankings is the most effective way to make your business take off.

One way to do this is to use the right keywords. Why pick the right cluster of keywords? Did you know that a lot of aspiring Internet entrepreneurs are frustrated because they can't get their site to rank high on search engines despite spending a lot of money, time and effort? One of the main factors why this happens is because they use the wrong keywords. So be careful with the ones you use.

Here's how to use keywords on your web site to improve its Google search ranking fast. Go to your favorite keyword tool then type in your target two-word key phrase. After seeing all the results, pick the keyword phrases that contain the most words.

If you discover six-word key phrases, use those first in your content pages. Here's one good example of that: "how to grow egg plants fast." Don't mock my keyword - it's merely an example!

Don't be too surprised if you start getting quality traffic after a few days of implementing this method. It's only normal to start getting traffic, especially since these keywords often have a very low or no competition at all. As your Google search ranking becomes better with these long keywords, you can turn to shorter key phrases.

Long keyword phrases dominate search engines fast due to little or no competitors. In reality, just giving your new content pages to social sites using those target keyword phrases as your submission titles can land you on top of Google easily if not immediately once the page is indexed.
